Cuxos Hotel Beachfront - 77400 Isla Mujeres

Loved this place. Awesome location, I would open the door and bam! The water was right in front of us and not to mention the little bar next to the room. Playa Norte we will come back!

Great location. Currently still staying here. Rooms are bare minimum (no couch, table, minimal decor, etc…) WiFi doesn’t work in m our room.

It's okey. Room was significantly worse than what i expexted from booking.com pictures but still somewhat good. It's right next to best beach on the island.

The price: My credit card was overcharged for the room and the hotel refuses to refund me the difference for the price I booked. I booked through hotels.com with a free cancelation up until the day prior to check-in. 2 weeks prior to check-in, I canceled 3 days of my original 7 day stay. Instead of canceling the 3 days I requested, the hotel rebooked my stay under a new higher rate and will not refund the difference basically making my stay the same price for 4 days as it was for 7. I didn't immediately notice this due to the charges at the hotel being in Mexican Pesos. hotels.com said I had to discuss it with the hotel, hotel refuses to fix this. The room: This room is basic, definitely NOT 4 stars. There was loud construction going on from 7am-7pm (see pics). There is no washcloths or beach towels for guests. The office is difficult to find and there is rarely anyone there. There is no table in the room. You have to carry your luggage through the sand to get to the room. There is no bottled water or coffee maker in the room. Wifi is not reliable. The location: The only good thing about this place is the location. Do yourself a favor and just walk to the beach instead of staying at the this hotel. I was asked to pay for a chair and umbrella even though I was staying at the hotel.

Bring your own hair dryer and iron. This place is ok. It’s right on the beach but a very basic room. Ladies, it’s bad fluorescent lighting and only a mirror in a dark bathroom for getting ready. No wash cloths just 2 bath towels. They charge $6 per towel for the beach. The only thing we like is the location and the sliding glass doors that open up and look at ocean. There is no lobby or front desk to call. You have to check in at chichis and Charlie’s bar. Our room was supposed to be ready at 2:00 for check in but wasn’t ready until 4:00

Great place, very reasonable and has a stunning view. Direct access to North Beach and the Mayan Beach Club next door is only $25 a day!!

I started out in the all inclusive Privilege Alexus and decided to extend me trip and for this hotel. Admittedly, I was skeptical at first, but once I settled in that first day all was great! Yes, it’s not 5 stars. But you can not ask for a better location for the sea, food and a very short walk to anywhere that’s important. If you’re expecting every place you stay outside of the US to be like your home, stay home. Everyone on the small staff was VERY helpful and accommodating. The chi chi and Charlie’s bar were extremely hospitable and flexible. Headed back here this weekend and didn’t even have a doubt where I was going to stay. And by the way, I can afford other places, but they don’t have the special staff this place has.

Don’t go there. Rooms have zero isolation and in front of the door is ridiculously loud music all day and until late at night. Staff is completely uninterested and arrogant. On arrival I asked at what time music would stop and was blatantly lied to several times that it would stop early
