Amazing escargot. You never see that anywhere. The foie gras wasn’t available. The rest of the meal was good but just normal. Nothing to write home about. For the price there are better options but I still recommend going and trying it out.

This restaurant is located right next to the Hilton Guadalajara Midtown. They recently opened in October 2019 so it was a risk. But as they say, “big risks, big rewards”. I had a great experience, both food and service were excellent. I tried the fish of the day with a champagne sauce which was delicious. After dinner I had the café escocés: scotch, expresso and vanilla ice-cream. It was definitely a experience to repeat. I may come back tomorrow for the grilled octopus ;-)

Was part of a party of seven Saturday night. Appetizers served included escargot, onion soup gratinée, camembert baked in puff pastry, and a salad. (Some dishes were shared.) Main courses were Coq au vin, Steak w/frites, gnocchi, rabbit. Portions were generous. Even though some dishes were shared, there still was some food left. And NOT due to any fault with the food. It was very tasty and cooked to order. The only dessert served was the chocolate "volcano" cake with vanilla ice cream. Good ice cream and intense decadent chocolate taste. Not 5 stars because of a kerfuffle with the timing of the starters and serving of the main course, probably due to miscommunication. Also felt that wine serving/consumption was somewhat pushy. Still, a nice evening with courteous service and food that was appreciated and enjoyed by all.

We went for the first time last year and the dinner was amazing, the restaurant is expensive but completely worth it. Yesterday we went again and we were not disappointed. The chef is changing the menu constantly so it’s not getting boring. D’Frank has become one of our favorite restaurants in Guadalajara and we will keep going back. The service is friendly and always paying attention, at least in our experience. This is one of the restaurants you have to try when visiting Guadalajara.

First time tried it for French cuisine after noticing the decor and ambience which seemed to have class, so assumed food would be equally good. Ordered tartere de atun, onion soup for starters and gnocchi w salmon for main course and a salad. Disappointed. None was above being pretty ordinary. The tartere was dry and long dead, the onion soup despite rave reviews was insipid and with no crust, and the gnocchi was surprisingly just lumps of dough with no stuffings at all!!! They didn't have Merlot, nor my favorite Fillet Mignon! In a French joint??? Unvleievable. The Cabernet Sauvignon felt harsh on the throat. Probably the cheap variety. So overall, average food at gourmet prices. Will give it a miss next time.
