★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down the best place for food shopping!!! Been coming here for 4 years and always can't wait to do my shopping here. Amazing selection of always fresh vegetables, featuring many veggies and herbs you can't find anywhere else. You can really find anything here- spices, legumes, nuts, dried fruits, Asian specialties. All very well priced. If you can't find something - ask the stuff. They often have anything you'll need. Restaurant attached to the shop is also worth trying.

I cannot find passion fruit anywhere on the island of Cozumel where I live and when I went to Playa I bought all of their passion fruit and 15 bags of their passion fruit pulp to put in my freezer. Also their baguette is just the best!
Nothing like it on Cozumel so I will have to take another trip....yum

Above and beyond fruit and veggies being restocked as I was shopping, they have multiple aisles with spices, oil, vinegar, nuts, sauces, pasta, honey, bread, a cheese and deli meat counter, frozen organic meat and seafood. Lots of speciality Asian products including dumplings! They stock so many options in this small store and you’d never know it from the outside. Oh and someone recommended the Oaxacan cheese in the reviews, and YES, it IS out of this world. Better than any I had in Oaxaca honestly..

The giant hummus is a major deal at 150 pesos.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The local restaurants can be overpriced for the quality of nutrition, grab some nice stuff in here and cook a few times, it will massively improve you happiness while having fun in the sun (just make sure to wash and sanitize produce ?)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible produce!! Very affordable and high quality produce. Everything was amazing, and lots of variety (bread, dry goods, beans, baking, meats and cheese, vegan meats and vegan cheese). Best mangos I've had in my life ? Highly recommend!!
