Most places give a free consultation, but not here. My teeth were cleaned without my permission and I was charged. They also insisted that I have an expensive root scaling procedure which I did not request nor want. Dentists seem qualified, but staff is a bit arrogant and they live in Nogales, USA. Why are they practicing in Nogales, Mexico? I ultimately had word accomplished elsewhere and was very happy. There are many good choices in Nogales. Shop around!

Very pleased with my experience here. I had a rather large work/project done (including several implants) that took 9 months to complete. First class craftsmanship and everybody there acts like they really care about their patients. Can't be any happier for finding them and trusting them with my dental needs.

An apprentice put a crown on that I feel I did not need and it failed. She then put on a temporary crown for a few weeks and then a second permanent crown that also failed. I was charged $650 for this fiasco and had to go somewhere else to fix the mess. I was also charged for a cleaning that never happened. If you really want top quality dental work for a low price, find a top notch dentist in Bangkok. It's really worth it if you need serious work. The dentist Who fixed the problem in California charged $650 to do the job right. He said the Mexican crown was ill fitting and guaranteed to fail.

This dentist office is like no other! They are friendly courteous helpful. the way they take care of my elderly mother and father is above and beyond.. These people seem to take great pride in their work kind of the way America Used to Be. I would recommend them to anybody who can't afford dentistry in the United States.

Recently my husband has had much needed dental work done. I also needed some work...I will tell you that going to the dentist puts me in a state of panic (prior bad experiences) I was so scared yesterday. I was put totally at ease and the most loving, caring staff I could ever imagine. Bonus, there is a marvelous massage therapist on their 1st floor so I had a massage prior to my appointment. My procedures went well and they called me 1st thing this morning to make sure I am ok and assured me that they are always there. We will never have work done in the states again. We absolutely love the entire staff and consider them friends. Deb and Dave

I have always had regular dental care. I certainly thought I was getting good, state-of-the-art dental care in the U.S. But when I lost my dental insurance, I decided to pursue a friend’s recommendation and try Dental Periogroup in Nogales, Mexico. If I hadn’t been confident, I’d have gotten my teeth cleaned and would simply not have gone back. Instead, they have become my regular dentists. I still live in Minnesota. But I have found that I can pay all of my travel expenses, plus the costs of dental care, and save money over the costs if I had gone to my local dentist at home. The money wouldn’t matter, of course, if I wasn’t getting good care. But it’s the finest dental care I have ever received. From the time of my first visit there four years ago, I was impressed by the competence of the dentists, the kindness of the staff, and by the friendly ambiance of their clinic. The staff seem to genuinely like working together. They are in and out of the various treatment stations, constantly consulting with each other, complimenting and supporting. And they sing while they work! It’s delightful to be there. Their English is excellent. My Spanish is not, so I relied on bilingual staff. And the city of Nogales itself feels safe, friendly, and welcoming. I park in Arizona and walk over the border; it’s only a 10-minute walk from my car to the clinic, so it’s convenient and easy to find. In my many visits to Dental Periogroup, I have never felt any trepidations whatever about my time in Nogales. I go alone, female, bad knees; safety matters to me. It’s safe there, and fun. I can’t recommend them highly enough. I started out as a curious patient on a budget; what I found is the finest dentistry I’ve ever experienced, and a dental staff that I am always happy to see. I have gotten excellent care there — the best ever, in my experience — and I am a committed patient there for as long as I’m able to make the trip.

I needed extensive dental surgery about eight years ago. I spent months getting quotes from oral surgeons in Southern California, and learned it would cost over $100,000. That might as well have been 100 million - I had a decent job but couldn't spend that. I ended up going to Dr. Espinoza and Dental Perio Group, and got the work done for under $30,000. (Obviously they also do implants that are less than the full restoration I needed.) It's been over seven years, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. If my So Cal dentists cost the same, I'd still travel to Nogales - it's the best dental work and follow-up care I've ever had.

What a lovely experience! I am embarrassed to admit that I was chicken to venture across the border for dental work, despite reassurances I’ve read/heard about the quality of the care in Mexico. I have heard wonderful things from many US- or Canadian-based friends who have driven across to Nogales or Algadones for much-needed dentistry that’s would cost them at least double in the US. A close friend of mine in Tucson Loves her dentist and his entire staff and today she gave me the courage to get out of my comfort zone. We drove down to Nogales, parked in a lot on the US side (a space in an attended lot is $5/day) and then walked across the border, easy as pie. *Be sure to take your passport—you will need it to return to the US.! Within two blocks of walking, passing lots of shopping opportunities, we reached the Dental Periogroup building. The office is up several flights of stairs, and each stair set has a chairlift for those who need extra assistance. Dr Jose Luis Espinoza I and his lovely wife Jessica own and manage a busy and very professional practice here. There seemed to be multiple other professionals in house, but I didn’t meet them. I was lucky enough to have the big boss consult, photograph, clean and advise with me on my teeth. I paid $75 for an exam, cleaning and Very full set of x-rays. Frankly, I couldn’t believe how thorough and extensive the process was—more so than I’ve ever experienced in the states. My husband and I go to an expensive and pampering dentist back home in Bend, Oregon because my sweetheart has dental phobia, but even there we’ve never had such thorough care. At no time did I feel concerned or pressured to do or buy anything, or to have any procedures. We enjoyed a chat about mountain biking and beautiful local places to ride, and I was surprised and delighted to receive a very sweet hug from Dr Espinoza upon leaving. My friend has been visiting the Dental Periogroup for years and only has good things to say about them. I can see why—they’ve made a new fan! I’ll be back in a couple weeks to have dental work done. ???
