★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hermoso lugar a unos pasos de la playa, aunque por el oleaje se recomienda más a surfistas, como el nombre dice.
 Beautiful place a few steps from the beach, although the surf is recommended more to surfers, as the name says.

Un sitio de muy bajo perfil, pésimo servicio y atención, ofrecen apartamentos que confirman la reserva y al final al te hacen fraude por que no tienen ese departamento en disponibilidad, dicen que tienen aparcamiento y no es verdad e incluso indican que cuidando por los robos, posteriormente ya no responden llamadas ni mensaje, ni reembolso en la reservación. CUIDADO!!!
FRAUD!!! Don't trust this place. A site with a very low profile, terrible service and attention, they offer apartments that confirm the reservation and in the end they cheat you because they do not have that apartment in availability, they say they have parking and it is not true and they even indicate that they are taking care of the thefts , later they no longer answer calls or messages, or refund in the reservation. WATCH OUT!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I rented very good locally shaped surf boards here. The owner is knowledgable and very nice. They have long boards, fun boards and short boards. No foam tops and the boards are in good shape.

We made a reservation via Booking for 7 days/4 people (10'000 MXN)
Then they said they have a problem with Booking, they cannot see the reservation and we have to cancel it (which would make us to loose the whole amount).
They also suggest to book directly a room for 2'600 MXN per night, which was much more than the standard price on Booking.
Finally they said there was no more room available.
It seems that this hotel is unscrupulous and dishonest.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked this place via booking.com for a week.
We waited whole day until 3pm check in and the owner agreed to meet us there.
Once we came there, they told us they have a problem with the booking and we have to cancel.
Speaking to the cleaning lady, she said there's someone already inside the apartment we booked.
It seems they are doing something really shady, but we insisted they cancel the booking as it's their fault.
Reading other reviews, this keeps happening, so I'd avoid this place if you want a place to sleep.
We just went back to puerto Escondido, because the noise at night until 2am, people fighting and everyone trying to scam you, makes this whole area unpleasant.

The first one, she had an issue with the booking and the last night was overlapped with other guest. They had to find a new place event though they already paid for the night.
The second one, we booked the place directly with the owner and paid in advance. After a couple of days she mentioned that the daily rate was not correct and had to increase it. We agree on the new price. Then she came again and told us that the daily rate had to increase again.
What a lack of seriousness!!
I will never stay again in this place
