★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Estación perteneciente a la línea 3 del metro. Se inauguró el 1 de diciembre de 1979 y formo parte del tramo inaugurado con dirección a Indios Verdes. El icono de la estación representa a un jugador de pelota, puesto que la estación se encuentra cerca del Deportivo 18 de marzo.
Originalmente la estación se llamaba Basílica por su cercanía con la Basílica de Guadalupe. En 1986 se inauguró la estación La Villa. Para no crear confusión entre los usuarios se renombraron ambas estaciones quedando ésta última como La Villa - Basílica.
Station belonging to line 3 of the metro. It was inaugurated on December 1, 1979 and is part of the section inaugurated in the direction of Indios Verdes. The station icon represents a ball player, since the station is located near Deportivo 18 de Marzo.
Originally the station was called Basilica because of its proximity to the Basilica of Guadalupe. In 1986 La Villa station was inaugurated. In order not to create confusion among users, both stations were renamed, leaving the latter as La Villa - Basílica.
