Esta zona específicamente tiene muy mala fama debido principalmente a los materiales de construcción y la construcción misma de los inmuebles. Se rumora que la contrucción de la colonia se realizó desde la clandestinidad y causa la misma sensación a sus visitantes.
Aunado a esto la colonia se encuentra entre dos colonias que contrastan absolutamente con la misma en casi todos los sentidos. Sin embargo la colonia es segura, los índices delictivos de la misma se encuentran muy por debajo de la media colonial en la CDMX y salvo por en tránsito normal de personas afectadas por el consumo de estupefacientes es un lugar muy tranquilo.
