★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel is great! Lalo was helpful throughout our stay and the rest of the staff was very friendly. Rooms were large & clean. Hotel is the perfect distance from town, walkable but away from the hustle & bustle. Didn’t try the food but the margaritas were delicious! Definitely recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was lovely. Walking distance to downtown but just far enough from the heart of Sayulita that it was peaceful and quiet. Lalo was so helpful with our stay and became a good friend of ours. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. We had delicious breakfast, mimosas and coffee at the restaurant and enjoyed the 2 pools on the property. Clean, comfortable and the views are stunning!
Must stay!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a gem! We had such a great stay. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. Our room was so comfortable and well-equipped. Lalo is such a great host - he arranged our airport transportation, our COVID tests, and provided great recommendations for things to do. Angelica, Lupita, and the rest of the staff are helpful and so friendly. This is a great place to stay in Sayulita - tucked up the hill away from town and has lots of peace and quiet, but a short walk to the beach and the town square!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel Distrito was everything we could've asked for! The property itself is stunning with the best views of the water and the host/staff went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Lalo, the host, was always available and helped us with every need while the rest of the staff made sure our guests had delicious food and drinks, etc. We stayed with a large group of 21 friends and it was perfect for that size as everyone had their own space, Gaby and her team organized a catered dinner for us on site, and facilitated all inclusive for a pool party. We cannot thank Lalo enough for all of his hard work and can't wait to come back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The overall experience wasn't bad after all.
Definitely what makes the difference and make sure that everything is okay and anything you need is Lalo.
The place is nice and chill, far from all the noise of downtown, and the smallest rooms are definitely nicer than the Casita.
A few negative points:
- for what they asked you to pay it's pretty unacceptable to get a room where in the toilet there are still hairs from someone else;
- in the small rooms, the only thing that divide "your" terrace from the one next door, is just a tent, which is crazy, since there is zero privacy, and that isn't a big deal, but when you get woken up by the people next door speaking in the morning, cause there is no isolation between those rooms, it's definitely a red flag for someone who is going there to rest and relax;
- they could give you at least two bottles of waters, as any other place in Mexico (and not beers since there are a lot of people that don't drink alcohol).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked Distrito 88 for our first trip to Mexico. 100% across the board, don't hesitate. I was very skeptical on the trip, but was immediately put at ease when we arrived and met Lalo. He's a wealth of knowledge and can get you connected with whatever you need at the place and anywhere outside. They have a beautiful cafe downstairs at the entrance that accepts cards so you could easily survive never leaving. There are pharmacies/stores/bars/restaurants less than a 5 minute walk away and with their location we slept great without the sounds of downtown. Overall we felt super safe and have already talked to friends about planning a group trip back now that we have an idea of what it's all like. Plus there are only so many rooms so you feel like you always have the place to yourself. We maintained a small footprint there as we were completely unsure what to expect and didn't want to disturb any guests or employees (both of which were unbelievably kind). Take it from a skeptic like me, who is extremely easy to disappoint, this place is gold stars in every category. Whether it's 1 night or 5 (like us) you won't be upset with your experience. Thank you again to Distrito 88 and your gracious staff!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hotel. Clean, close to the beach, multiple pools. The best part of Distrito 88? Lalo. He made us feel so welcome and was super responsive and helpful at every opportunity. People like Lalo are what make a hotel worthy of returning year after year. They’re super lucky to have him. We will definitely be back!
