Diving Lodge Downtown - 77580 Puerto Morelos

I initially travelled alone - my friend joined me the following day. I was met by Isabel and Luis. They made me feel welcome and very safe. The accommodations are very clean as are all the public / common area. Each room has a coffee machine - great for morning coffee while watching the water. There is a full bar and a decent food menu - everything tasted super fresh and delicious!! There is a daily yoga on the beach and a dive shop on the premises. The lodge is walking distance from the little down - full of eateries, live music & shopping. I went to relax for a few days and did exactly that. A home away from home - but then better?

After 2 weeks of vacation, coming from Europe, I have to say this place is awesome! A small family-run place located directly at the beach and also very close to the center of the little town Puerto Morelos, it is perfect for relaxing at the beach or pool and a great place for diving excursions or taking diving lessons from very experienced and knowledgable instructors that know the area like no one else. The beach bar (that is open to the public and on the weekends also frequented by many locals) is playing relaxing music and offers delicious drinks, made with high quality ingredients. I highly recommend their Margarita, on the rocks of course, the best I could find during 2 weeks in Mexico, and I tried many ;) cheers to Tony, their barman! Also their food is legit (I definitively recommend the ceviche)! It´s worth mentioning that they close at 7pm, so no need to worry about loud music at night! After a 5 minutes walk you will find a large variety of restaurants and shops, also the lovely center is within walking distance. We didn´t want to leave and will definitely return to this fabulous spot!

Awesome experience with Jose and we loved the dive shop. My family of 5 went. My wife and I are certified, but my kids did the intro class and we had a legit dive for 45 minutes in open water. That is all the energy we had and the boat ride out was pretty awesome too. Jose was great and we'd do it again in a heartbeat.

This was a really sweet place to stay in Puerto Morelos. We stayed in Cabin 1. We had originally planned to stay for 2 days but ended up needing to leave a day early due to them evacuating because of a hurricane. The owners that live on site are warm and helpful. The attached beach club has great drinks and pretty good snacks but you should plan on walking to town for meals. The grocery store was about a 15 minute walk away as well, so cooking in your room is doable. The door didn't seal completely so we did need to be careful not to leave out any food or we quickly got ants. The beach here also had a fair amount of seaweed in August so we didn't end up swimming. We definitely hope to come back soon!

Great beach spot, reasonable prices, but for a Sunday when people typically go to the beach they were heavily under staffed. Extreme long service times had us chasing down our orders, cancelling and leaving.

Best bar/eatery in this area period. We stayed close by, couldn't have asked for a better regular spot. Service was immaculate. Jesus, Abraham, Tony, Alo made us all feel like kings. Can't wait to come back.

This is the best place I have been to. I have spent many months backpacking many countries and this is by far the beat staff and atmosphere I’ve ever seen. Specifically Tony, Jesus, and Alo made our stay in Puerto Morelos that much better. The manager Abraham is also great and has done a great job curating great staff. Thanks again, Jordan

This review is only for the beach bar/restaurant. We enjoy this place a lot and have for a long time. On this trip we paid $10 for chairs etc. drinks were delivered promptly (and they are good). Buuut we ordered lunch, and after asking several times over an hour where it was. We finally hit our limit at somewhere more than 80 minutes, the waiter checked and came back with the news that it was not in progress, so canceled the order and went in search of something to eat. Guys, if you have a kitchen make it work!!!!
