Not even worth one star. I rented a bike and cycled for 30min to the beach, when I got there I noticed the lock didn’t have a key on it, so I left it at security at the beach and in the evening I returned. I arrived at the bike place and said they gave me a lock without a key but luckily I could leave it with security…. Without even letting me finish my story they accused me (4 men together shouting at me) that I lost the key and I need to pay. I tried to explain several times that it’s impossible to lose a key if the bike was never locked right?! After a lot of arguing they refused to return my ID. I refuse to pay cause I thought the story is very obvious and I returned the bike as agreed, it’s not like I had to cut the lock or anything… then it would make sense I lost it! So now they have my ID from my home country and I’ll have to leave without it.

Rented a bike for a couple of days. Super friendly and fun people, they will definitely make you laugh. Was even allowed to take the bike for the day to find an ATM and pay when I got back.

This place is run by a small group of male scammers - beware. They steal their own bikes that people leave at Mayan Monkey hostel, then make the renter pay the stolen bike fee. Beware - we saw this happen to a few people in just 1 weekend.
