Dollar Car Rental - 58920 Morelia

Do not book with this company for car rentals. We booked a trip and had coverage on the car. There was a tiny chip on the windshield and they told us at the location it was nothing to worry about. I was supposed to be charged around $400 dollars for this rental and a few days after returning home I was charged $800. I was also told I was going to receive a receipt before I was charged. I never received a receipt. If I were to see the receipt and see that the $800 charge is valid then I wouldn’t have an issue. I am still trying to get this receipt that apparently no one can find now. I’ve called multiple numbers to get this receipt and each one keeps sending me elsewhere with another number. It’s a repeating cycle. After I say what my issue is some people just hang up on me. So unprofessional. I will never book with them again.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! I don’t even know where to begin. Arrived to the airport at 6:30 a.m. had the vehicle reserved through Expedia weeks before. They told me it would be $267 w/taxes out the door and additionally I purchased the insurance and paid it in full. I arrive only to be told that the insurance is not valid and because I did not purchase it through them they needed a deposit of $4,000!!!! What!!??? They said they would not validate the insurance purchased. Whatever. I asked what the insurance would be through them for the 7 days just the most basic coverage. $500!! I was tired, jet lagged, frustrated so I ask the guy ok so then getting the insurance through you the deposit would go down to the original $200 that Dollar told me. Nope! Still a $700 deposit. Oh yeah then he said the car rental would not be $267. That he didn’t know why Expedia would say that, that it was $245. $31,000 pesos to get the car??? Hell no!! This guy had no compassion, could give a rats.... and also dollar corporate told me that was a rip off when I called them. Sadly their customer service too was HORRIBLE. Kept disconnecting the call. Ended up going through budget which I was terrified given the reviews, however $4,900 pesos (about $250 USD) WITH Insurance AND I was in n out within 10 mins. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT waste your time here. I highly suspect the 2, 5 star reviews are not actual customers. Horrible experience!!!!

Stay away of this thief This is the same as herz Always is a better options cars are unsafe and just for a day they charge us more than a thousand dollars. Dollar rent car and herz are the worst
