Pésima experiencia. Renté un auto con antelación a través de un buscador y cuando llegué me dijeron que no tenían el coche que ya había rentado y pagado y que lo único que podían ofrecerme era un Nissan March o uno de alta gama. ¡Y me pusieron en una lista de espera que tenía 36 personas por delante mía! En el sitio se rentan varias marcas, supongo que de ahí el descontrol. No recomiendo en absoluto que renten con Thrifty en Mérida. Gracias dios pude resolver la situación gracias a la atención del equipo de AVIS en el mostrador del aeropuerto, que me respetaron el precio que me había dado el buscador donde contraté inicialmente con Thrifty. Mucho mejor AVIS que esta gente.
Bad experience. I rented a car in advance through a search engine and when I arrived they told me that they did not have the car that I had already rented and paid for and that the only thing they could offer me was a Nissan March or a high-end one. And they put me on a waiting list that had 36 people ahead of me! Several brands are rented on the site, I suppose that's why the lack of control. I do not recommend at all that you rent with Thrifty in Merida. Thank God I was able to resolve the situation thanks to the attention of the AVIS team at the airport counter, who respected the price given to me by the search engine where I initially contracted with Thrifty. Much better AVIS than these people.

Hice mi reservación con pago adelantado y al llegar al lugar me comentaron que no tenían carros disponibles porque la renta de autos está sujeta a disponibilidad y era temporada alta. Tienen una pésima atención y servicio al cliente y no te aseguran la entrega de tu carro aunque hayas pagado por adelantado.
I made my reservation with advance payment and when I arrived at the place they told me that they did not have cars available because car rental is subject to availability and it was high season. They have a terrible attention and customer service and do not guarantee the delivery of your car even if you have paid in advance.

Pésimo / Bad Service Pagué mi reserva para recoger el vehículo a las 4am y las instalaciones estaban cerradas. Es imposible que te contesten las llamadas y cuando finalmente lo logré me dicen que no hay vehículos, se disculpan y me dicen que solicite mi reembolso. I payed for my reservation on Internet and I was supposed to get the car at 4am but the establishment was closed. Impossible to contact them by phone and at the time they answered they apologized and they said they don't have cars available, that said I have to process my cancelation.
Terrible / Bad Service I paid my reservation to pick up the vehicle at 4am and the facilities were closed. It is impossible for them to answer your calls and when I finally did they tell me that there are no vehicles, they apologize and tell me to ask for my refund. Pésimo servicio, recibimiento con cara larga y no respetaron la reservación en línea. Perdí 4 horas entre hacer la reservación, imprimir papeleo, tomar transporte para recoger el auto y cuando llegué me dijeron que no tenían autos y ni siquiera me ayudaron a cancelar la reservación. El señor del mostrador, me dió un número telefónico el cual se cortaba cada vez que quería hablar con atención al cliente. No recomiendo y nunca rentare con ellos otra vez.
Terrible service, reception with a long face and they did not respect the online reservation. I lost 4 hours between making the reservation, printing paperwork, taking transportation to pick up the car and when I arrived they told me that they did not have cars and they did not even help me to cancel the reservation. The man at the counter gave me a phone number which was cut off every time I wanted to talk to customer service. I do not recommend and will never rent from them again.

Una buena experiencia rentando aquí Para empezar el trámite y entrega del vehículo fue al rededor de una hora. Nos aceptaron nuestro pago con tarjeta de débito y nos retuvieron $5,000 adicional a la renta del vehículo que fue $700 aprox por día por un auto beat sedan de Chevrolet. En el mostrador fueron pacientes y amables. El vehículo estaba en buen estado tenía unos 40 mil kilómetros. Solo le tuvimos que echar aire a las llantas por que la dirección se le movía un poco. Tenía varios detalles en la estética pero tomamos fotos y videos a la entrega. Al regresar el vehículo fue todo muy rápido y no hubo cargos adicionales. En general todo muy bien. Lo recomiendo
A good experience renting here To start the process and delivery of the vehicle was about an hour. At the counter they were patient and friendly. The vehicle was in good condition had about 40 thousand kilometers. We only had to put air in the tires because the steering was moving a little. It had several aesthetic details but we took photos and videos upon delivery. Upon returning the vehicle everything was very fast and there were no additional charges. In general all very well. Stay Away from this Company - At the car pickup we where told a price 3 times as high cause they did not inform about the insurence which is very expensive ????

Got off a flight 10:30pm Merida Airport with car reservations. No one a booth in airport. A fellow from Hertz come by and said they are coworking with Thrifty. Takes forever on computer not asking name or looking at the reservation saids there is no reservation that we have to go to the office across the airport parking lot. Told us we could walk with all our bags or wait till the van to come pick u up butdon't know when itwill get there. We go to office and was charging us $400.00 more on reservations and wanted $25,000 dollars not pesos in deposit.we canceled. Spoke with the corporate office they got on the phone with the merida office. After alot of back and forth we had to cancel We had 2 reservations different dates. When we went back to the airport and went to the office directly our name was in red. Both reservations were paid for and both we had to cancel both. very bad service.

I was expecting the worst experience renting from Thrifty. Based on past experiences with renting cars, and the horrible reviews We can see here on google: 1.8 stars.... But honestly it was the smoothest, and best experience I've ever had renting a car... I hope they keep up the good work and honesty... I was quoted $2000 pesos at the airport for 5 days with a Nissan versa, when I paid at the end of the week, i paid 1,672 pesos! No hidden fees, no dishonesty, no harassing with extra expensive insurance, just a great experience... Would do it again! The only thing I would change was the wait in line at the business, they seemed short staffed, I waited 45mins for two people in front of me.. my return inspection was fast and smooth though!
