Water is dirty, large dolphin "Ricardo" had really bad teeth and his mouth was pretty beat up. We purchased all the photos (super pricey) from the trip but interestingly enough all pics with Ricardo's mouth open were deleted before we received the files. Cool experience to be so close to these incredible creatures but it felt gross having the feeling that they weren't being cared for properly.

One of the Instructors was great - he explained everything well. He looked after the dolphins well. The other instructor didn't look like he was very experienced and rushed us. The photos are a rip off. They are ridiculously expensive. Food was cold. Staff are generally rude...talking about us in Spanish in front of us.

We went to this place in a group of 13 and enjoyed this unique experience. The dolphins were amazing. Touching, kissing, playing and riding with them was extraordinary. I cannot say enough about our visit. But, the only reason I gave 3 stars rather than 5 is due to the extreme price they ask you for the photos. First of all they won't let you to take anything with you (some of that completely understandable) including your phone or camera, so you must rely on their camera woman/man and at the end they will approach to sell those photos which is a usual practice almost everywhere (other than not allowing the cameras). But what hurts is that they are charging $49 USD per person that for us would sum up to $637 USD and that is insane. There was one person who spent about 30 minutes around the pool to take some pictures. She was using a regular camera (which I have a better one at home) and with all due respect she was not doing anything out of ordinary. All the photos are digital so there is no cost of film and developing, postage, etc. and I cannot understand why would they ask so much money?! Long story short and after so much back and forth and not too pleasant discussions with them, their last price dropped to $340 which was still unacceptable. We offered $150 (that is still too much but we wanted those photos) but they declined and we left without any photos. I cannot still understand why they do that. They had already spent the time and efforts to take those photos and all would be deleted while they could make $150 USD which is more than fair in this case.

I was quite disappointed that the area was a small pool (quite slippery to enter because of the seaweed, too) with a few dolphins. Knowing I paid for and had a small child, there was no accommodations for him to interact with the dolphins as us swimmers could, although the pictures throughout the facilities showed otherwise. And sadly, the pictures were a rip-off!!! We were charged $50 for just 1 pic and then were sold all of the pictures for FIVE TIMES the amount of the experience itself! (Of course, you were not allowed to take your own pics.) In addition, we were charged $9 for a locker!!! :-( The overtaxing ruined the experience for us, because at least a pic or 2 could've been included in a package! We would NEVER recommend and NEVER be back!

This was my 2nd time swimming with dolphins (my favorite animal) and I loved it! My bf and I bought the middle package through Best Day. They had a 2 for 1 sale. We had transportation to and from our hotel which was great. The experience itself was amazing! We arrived and had some time to swim in their nice infinity pool overlooking the dolphins. We were told we could put our belongings in a locker for $9. Since it was the end of the day and the place wasn’t crowded or busy at all, me and some others just left our things on a chair by the pool and it was fine. Our Trainers Manuel and his daughter were very sweet! They walked us through what we had to do during the interaction. Their instructions weren’t long and confusing- straightforward and personalized if needed. My bf was a little scared of the dolphins because of their size (they were about 6-8ft long; he didn’t expect them to be that big) but he’s a big baby lol. As others have said, the professional pictures are expensive but don’t be afraid to bargain with them! They will negotiate with you for a price that suits your budget! Overall, I would definitely come back and definitely recommend any dolphin lovers to try it out! Look for sales, they’re out there!!

To see dolphins up close and to touch them is an amazing experience, aside from that it is very commercialized and the business as a whole is misconceiving. You think your going to have this relaxing surreal encounter with dolphins but as soon as you pay they smack you with orders right before you "start your activity" . No cameras, remove all your jewelry, they give you 1 locker for 2 people then charge you 9 u.s. dollars for another locker. Stand up, pit your hands her, don't touch there. I get that these are animals and certain rules need to apply but it would have been easier to grasp if they were open and upfront with the whole process. You're going to be in the same pool with dolphins and you will be able to touch them under strict rules and you will not be allowed to have your own camera to take pictures we will take them for you and sell you them at the end we will provide you one small tiny locker and charge you for another, you must remove all jewelry completely, and more time will be spent listening to the trainers talk about the dolphins and giving instructions then "enjoying the dolphins".

Connecting with a dolphin face-to-face is an experience you cannot miss when coming to Riviera Maya, and Dolphinaris is the right place to do so! The place is beautiful and the service was amazing. I will never forget the dolphins I got to meet; especially, Nautica ??

Fun family experience. The staff were friendly. Place was nice. You need to bring towels and a good idea to have money for lockers. We had 3 activities: foot push, belly ride and underwater view. Each was about 40 min and 30-60min wait in between where you can relax while dolphins take a break. Lunch was provided. Photos are expensive but to be expected at a tourist destination like this.
