Dolphy se creó en 1999, compartiendo con los mexicanos el momento en que el mundo se preparaba para despedir el milenio y dar la bienvenida a un sabor nuevo, pero respetuoso y fiel a la tradición.

Cuando empezamos, éramos una marca nueva, pero no primeriza. En Dolphy ya sabíamos de sabor, porque entre nuestros fundadores estaba Adolph B. Horn. Un empresario muy querido por los tapatíos, creador de nuestra tradicional receta de helado boleado hace ya más de cincuenta años.

Después de hacer nuestro pedido desde el carro (como se ha estado haciendo desde la llegada de la pandemia) la señora que entregó el helado lo hizo sin cuidado y este se cayó al piso. Soy testigo de que ese helado se recibió con mucho cuidado pero se entregó al aventón por parte de la señora. A pesar de ser clientes leales, ella se negaba a restituirlo y molesta nos decía que nosotras teníamos algo en las manos porque se nos cayó (cosa que no es cierto). La otra muchacha que cobra también se negaba a restituirlo y ella tampoco entregó bien el cambio. Así que decidimos quedarnos a esperar nuestro helado y ella muy enojada (¡y hasta haciendo berrinches!) se puso a hacer otro. En modo berrinche abrió la vitrina de los helados casi aventándola, sacudió la cuchara bien enojada, empujó cosas y decía en voz alta enojada que iba a volver a hacer la nieve. Después de que lo terminó, que por cierto lo hizo todo al aventón (el helado se chorreaba todo) nos lo entregó y dijo muy molesta "A la otra agarre bien la nieve" le dijimos "Igualmente" y ella azotó la ventanilla cerrándola. Es una lástima que tan buen negocio se vea afectado por empleadas groseras como ellas. Nunca había visto a una empleada haciendo ese tipo de berrinches me dio mucha lástima y es muy grave porque pueden correr clientes, incluyéndome a mí. Otro punto a comentar es que de varias veces que he ido, no me han regresado bien el cambio. Very rude employees and they do not give the change well, they do not deliver the product well, watch out! It is a pity that such good business is affected by rude employees like them. I had never seen an employee throw that type of tantrum, I felt very sorry for it and it is very serious because customers can run away, including me. Another point to comment is that of several times that I have gone, the change has not returned well.

Si pides paleta no te dan la base de cartón para que no se tire como en otras sucursales. La atención y forma de hablarte de los empleados no es amable y si pagas con tarjeta te cobran comisión. Recomiendo mejor ir a otra sucursal.
