This place is SO good! Yes it’s vegan and it’s great! While walking around beautiful San Miguel De Allende we saw a nice variety of vegetarian vegan restaurants and went with Don Taco Tequila.
It’s a smaller place with about 4 tables in the main dinning area and a high rise long table with stools towards the front.
They have good music quick service and the food is amazing! We ordered al pastor, gringa along with other goodies and some drinks to go with them. We each got 3 varieties and were so satisfied we couldn’t even get dessert. They also offered 4 side salsas for the tacos and some chips to go along. Beware of the habanero salsa, I eat spicy food all the time and that salsa was fiiiireeee! Still so good!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Random stop in was at the right place and had no idea it was vegan until ordering and as a red meat & bacon guy must say I’m impressed. The nachos while lacking cheese and meat were loaded with flavor and the chips are dialed in.
Now the real reason we are here drinkie drinks….. Well above expectations the rose margarita & spicey margarita are perfectly balanced not too hot not too sweet just great drinking….
Servers were on point and nice recommend coming here. As a last note the back room has AC!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely the BEST food in town! If you are health conscious OR NOT! You will for sure love this place! Each bite is a party in ur mouth. We just kept coming to this place! Food that is fuel (and sooooo flavorful!) to your body and gentle to the environment, what else can u ask for? U got it try for ur self!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried all the tacos and the guava juice. Omg yum. The lettuce taco and pea protein taco were mind blowing. I marked the menu - the more spikes on the shape the better the tacos were. But every one was good.

Their margaritas are some of the best I've ever had - perfectly balanced and we could actually taste the tequila. They also have tasty tacos, guacamole and a variety of salsas. All the staff we encountered were very friendly - I would definitely come back when visiting again

I've tried a couple vegan restaurants in my hometown, and neither had me screaming about how good they were, let alone had me thinking about maybe making the switch to my diet. Don Taco Tequila, however, has me raising an eyebrow. If vegan food can taste this good without trying to be something it's not - I'm looking at you Impossible burgers with beet juice to look like blood, I'm definitely up for trying more vegan food. That being said, tonight was my second trip to Don Taco Tequila, and I'll be back for at least a third trip before heading home.
