★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Two for one ribs on Friday nights! Comes with fries & coleslaw. Huge portions! Cooked on an open fire. Friendly, energetic staff. Our server gave us all Mexican names to remember what we ordered. He made us laugh & feel right at home. Highly recommend this place. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were waiting for a tour to start and just dropped by for breakfast. I had their pancakes, and they were delicious. I think my friends liked their meat omelettes. They also have super freshly squeezed orange juice. I think there was a restriction about when they could take credit cards, or that using credit card added an extra fee, but that was it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wouldn't recommend, found it expensive (subjective) and the drinks (margaritas & fountain pops) seemed watered down. The food was mediocre. We had skirt steak, jalapeno poppers, coconut shrimp, enchiladas, and a cheese burger. The restaurant looked like a construction zone and was empty until a large table showed up to save their night. We had to take a cab from the Grand Mayan Resort expecting a great experience but we were disappointed.

It has the best food in town, the most authentic Mexican food, cooked to excellence and served by Alex who speaks English perfectly, and is very professional and friendly, Reina who is very nice, friendly and fast, and Oscar who is friendly and fun. They all always have a smile on their face, are very warm and welcoming. Dona Tere is a food place you do not want to miss out on. Prices are extremely low and the quality of food is very high.
