Exactly who you'd want to trust to capture precious moments Douglas made magic happen for us. I was overjoyed at the photos he took to capture our moment and can enthusiastically recommend him. I approached Douglas with a pretty far-fetched plan: capture our surprise marriage proposal at a rooftop bar without my partner noticing. Even though I was setting Douglas up for failure (how were we possibly going to get the angle, timing, or light right?), he was more than happy to give it a try and he somehow made it all come together flawlessly. He got tons of amazing photos of the engagement and plenty more in the following hour, when we did a photoshoot around the city. Here's some of my experience with Douglas: - I was surprised by Douglas's level of skill, and the artistic nuance and beauty of his pictures - I have meticulously thought through all the important details necessary to make our experience / the photos a success. He's obviously very experienced and confident in his craft. - His communication throughout the entire process (planning, event, afterwards) was excellent - He made the photoshoot fun, and nearly effortless. This hasn't been my experience with other photographers in the past, but Douglas made it feel easy and natural and the pictures prove it. - His quality/price ratio is outstanding. - He got the edited pictures to us promptly, ahead of schedule

Douglas shot our destination wedding in Huatulco, and we can’t recommend him highly enough. In our initial phone call with him prior to the wedding, he was professional and easy going. He quickly picked up on our vibe, and proposed shooting the wedding “documentary style” — exactly what we were looking for without knowing how to describe it. On the wedding day Douglas arrived promptly and kicked right into action capturing beautiful shots of the venue. When photographing, Douglas is very professional. He made us feel comfortable and able to act naturally and have a great time while he lined up perfect shots. We were blown away by the artistry and quality of his photos. Douglas is so skilled at capturing the vibe and little moments of the occasion. He is somehow able to capture the most amazing shots without you even noticing he is there. His portraits, candids, and dance floor photos were all spectacular. We were also pleased with the turn around time and quantity of photos that he provided.
