The Doctor is compassionate and understanding. His English is excellent. He is a great resource to English-speakers who visit Oaxaca or who live here and have not quite mastered the language. His focus was on alleviating my suffering, as I had waited quite some time before making an appointment because I dislike going to the doctor, and prefer to let illnesses run their course, treating symptoms with home remedies. Usually I am successful, but not this time! I didn't have COVID, but I did need relief from an ornery sinus infection, and a GI parasite. Gracias Doctor!

Dr. Zamacona Esparza treated me after being bitten by a dog while on vacation. He responded quickly was empathetic, and extremely helpful in booking additional appointments for me to get the treatment I needed. This was a huge help for a traveler that isn’t fluent in Spanish. Highly Recommended!

Doctor Zamacona saved my life when I came down with Covid 19 two months ago. I cannot thank him enough. After two weeks treatment I still had the virus, but after two weeks I became negative and could fly to San Francisco. He also recommended an expert dermotogist who removed a cancer from my cheek, sewing it up so expertly it left no scar. Dr ZAMACONA speaks great English and is you're best help for whatever medical you have while in Oaxaca.

Dr Zamacona treatment me and my partner for COVID while touring. He transformed a travelers worst nightmare into a somewhat hopeful experience. We were immediately started on proper treatment. My partners oxygen saturation went up to near normal in a day. He was kind enough to provide his cell number and even prescribed follow up treatment on the phone without extra charge. Apart from being a pro, with med schooling in Southern India, and speaking most fluent English (which was a great relief with our poor Spanish), his witty sense of humor and brought lightness to the situation. His advice on walking and deep breathing complemented the acute steroid treatment and was a welcomed holistic approach. He seemed straigh out of a Tom Robbins book or Wes Anderson movie. The art deco in his office was give away... The receptionist qhom we had called to schedule an appointment was also super sweet. He Charged us 1000 pesos which is $50 USD for seeing 2 patients. Very very grateful and highly recommend him.

I highly recommend Dr Zamacona. Recently I had a serious unexpected issue occur while in his office. His immediate medical response and personal support prevented a negative out come. It's not only that he is an English speaker for us Expats that is helpful, but he truly cares for his patients well being.

I am a traveller that was looking for a complete checkup and chose Dr Alberto Zamacona Esparza after reading reviews. I walked in without an appointment and received a warm welcome. The Doc was more thorough than my regular doctors in the USA and in just 3 days he had completed more than i would have imagined. It would have taken me months at home in florida. He speaks fluent English, which is a huge plus for foreigners seeking medical attention, is very attentive, responds immediately to questions or requests for appointments, and does it all with a smile under his mask.
