Dr. A has perfected the art of caring. He truly cares for each and every one of his patients. He made me feel safe going into this process, checked in on me frequently, and always made sure my questions were answered. I will never have enough words to say how Dr. A and his team made this an incredible experience.

I accompanied my friends to see Dr Alvarez for surgery and cannot compliment him as a surgeon enough. The staff are amazing. They speak English and Spanish. My favorite is Roman. He can take you to the endospa, the city market, and get local food- the day after the patients have surgery. Whatever you need, he helps facilitate a great visit. Dr Alvarez is world renowned and you get excellent care and attention. He cares and is positive and friendly. You are more than a number. This was my second time coming with people to see Dr Alvarez. Two years ago I came with my sister as she had the vertical sleeve. She’s lost 100 lbs now. Her only regret was not doing it sooner. She has not gained any weight back. The only thing to be aware is the cafeteria at the hospital does not serve food like US hospitals. The selection is very limited and you’ll need to rely on food delivery. This was the only issue with the entire experience. It takes a long time to get food and as a patient’s companion it was the only consideration. Thankfully, I knew this so I brought a lot of my own snacks and food. I am aware that they are working on making food options better and faster. I highly recommend 100% Dr Alvarez and when they get the food delivery and accessibility taken care of- it’s going to be even more incredible. If you want the best doctor in the world , a luxury hospital, and a doctor who truly loves what he does- go to Dr Alvarez.

The hospital facility was amazing and very clean! Dr. A is so good at crafting sleeves that you wake up from surgery and have very little pain. I was up walking after the anesthesia wore off and walked 70 laps around the hospital floor with no problem. The next day we were taking to get spa services and walk around a local market. They definitely make you their priority while you are in their care. I was freaking out about getting stolen while in Mexico but that fear was quickly eliminated upon arrival. I was so comfortable the whole time.

Such a great experience! Top of the line facilities and staff, Dr. A is the best of the best. The care I received was impeccable from the nurses, Jesus our awesome and patient driver, Roman for giving us the best time going to get slushies and giving a cultural/history lesson, Brandi my coordinator has been phenomenal, patient, kind, and so knowledgeable. Of course Dr. A….. I don’t know where to begin, so down to earth, comforting and pleasant… as well as an amazing surgeon! I did research for months and I couldn’t be happier with my choice.

For starters, there isn’t enough praise I could give! This was by far the best medical experience I’ve had. I came in with my reservations and I was extremely nervous about my gastric sleeve procedure. Dr. A made me feel like I was part of his family. He never made me feel like I was a number. He personally came to check on me multiple times throughout my stay and listened to any concerns I had. He made me feel right at home! The staff was very friendly and attentive as well. Roman was an excellent guide. He was very friendly and such a gentleman helping us in and out of the van and into the spa. If I could give Dr. A 10 stars, I would. Thank you Dr. A!!

Dr. A and his entire team were phenomenal. The facility was top notch and state of the art. I was extremely impressed by the attention and compassion that I received from Dr. A and the other providers. A much better experience then I have ever had in the United States Hospitals. If you are considering the Gastric Sleeve procedure please don’t be scared or hesitate because Dr. A will take great care of you and you won’t regret it at all. Thank You Dr. A!!!!!!!!

I am posting these message to let everyone know that the experience that you received from the time you get in touch with his personnel to the time you leave is a VIP quality. Doctor Alvarez is a genuine dedicated professional that put his heart ❤ where his hands are, trying to do the extra mile to cover any questions or calm any anxiety that any of his patients have. Personally I have to thank Jesus (driver), Rene ( nurse) , Roman and Elsa (facial) from all the support and care that they offer me while I stay there. THANK YOU, THANK YOU. Dr. Alvarez was amazing in every way. The whole experience from start to finish was flawless. The surgery went really well and I was up and walking very quickly after with no pain and my recovery has been so smooth. He is a master at his craft and it is evident from the first moment you meet him. He is warm, welcoming and very pleasant. I feel like I have known him for a long time. I cannot write enough accolades about him or my experience. I am truly thankful for him and his staff.
