I was scheduled for a double fusion of L4 and L5 in the US. My surgery was canceled 3 days prior due to covid. I could not wait for the procedure and came to Mexico to have the Cosmic Mia surgery performed by Dr. Salmon. This procedure is not approved in the US and I was a bit apprehensive about both the procedure and having it done in Mexico. It is now 7 weeks after the surgery. Dr. Salmon did an absolutely excellent job. He took care of everything including arranging the hospital and the payments. The care was excellent. The experience was excellent. My back is better than I expected or hoped for. Since the surgery I have taken no anti inflammatory and no gabba pentin. I have no more pins and needles or electric shocks in my right foot. I can feel my right calf again and something I never expected I can again feel hot and cold on the bottom of my right foot. I cannot vouch for medical care in general in Mexico but I can and do whole heartedly endorse Dr. Salmon. Unlike in the US he is available 24/7 for whatever you need. He actually calls or texts to check on you after you leave the hospital for weeks. Unlike in the US he does not delegate your care to the nurses. He personally is attending to you and stays in contact. The service reminds me of the service we used to have in the US in the past not the present. Lastly and the least important thing for me was the cost. The cost is probably less than the deductible on your insurance policy assuming your policy even pays for "non essential" surgeries. Dr. Salmon is considered in the top 2 or 3 neuro surgeons in Mexico. I don't know the other surgeons but I'm voting him #1 based on my experience.
