Dreams Sands Cancun Resort & Spa - 77500 Cancún

We had a great time. All the restaurants were good. Room service was good. The room was nice and clean. Some of the furniture is in need of repair. A couple drawers in dresser don't open and close. The staff is nice and the activities are fun. There's nightly music. There was a nice beach BBQ dinner 1 of the nights. The chairs by the pool are always full. If you want a chair plan to be down at the pool at 7AM. Most people put towels out and come back a few hours later. Not sure how they would fix that issue as that seems to be how they do it everywhere. The negative reviews on here must be other resorts or some real difficult people. It's not perfect but a great place to stay in a great location. Upgrade to a balcony for a beautiful view.

This hotel is one of the highest rated in the area. I've been coming here for years. If you choose this place you won't be disappointed. We had the most outstanding stay here! First off the staff was so amazing and always smiling! Our beaches were always clean and again the staff was always smiling and happy. The food at every restaurant was so tasty. We seriously cannot wait to return this year! And hope we see some familiar faces!

The grounds, beach, pools and restaurants were great! The Mexican party on the beach was fabulous! That being said, our "preferred" room was nothing special. I am used to cruises, this was my first all inclusive. I have traveled a Lot and stayed in many hotels and resorts. On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 7.5. if our room was nicer I'd bump that up to an 8.5. would recommend but probably won't be back.

Positive: The beach was amazing. East to enjoy and walk on. Great location near shops. The food was delicious. The staff friendly. Negative: Preferred price and option was not worth it. They did not check at the preferred entrance on the beach or bar to make sure you payed for a preferred room. There was no control anyone and everyone was allowed in the preferred areas which was upsetting .

Positive: GREAT location! Beach was very beautiful. Loved the infinity pool. Drinks were great and easy to get. Food was pretty good too! We loved the Italian restaurant. Fun buffet dinners down by the beach. Beautiful relaxing spa Negative: We did not enjoy being questioned every time we got out of our elevator if we would participate in the ¿vacation club¿ (like a time share) tour. We did do a tour and was glad we got the gift at the end but it was not an enjoyable three hours.

The hotel is very old and the rooms aren’t nice at all. We ended up upgrading to an ocean front view. The elevators are super old, small and slow. So be prepared to wait forever in the morning when everyone is waking up. The food and drinks weren’t bad. The buffet is super strict with the mask and the hostess don’t even want to provide you with one unless you make a scene. The beach is small and super rocky when entering but if you move further out then it’s fine. Two decent sized pools but the area surrounding the pools are small. They never had empty chairs available and people put there stuff down early to reserve it. No lounges only some tables around the lobby where the bar is. Don’t expect lively entertainment here, the entertainment actually sucks compared to my other resort experiences. If you want to have fun then you’ll have to leave the resort at night. Overall, if you want to relax by the beach and pool and nothing else then I’d recommend but other than that.. I will never be returning here again.

Dream Sands was an amazing resort, especially for our first all-inclusive! We were there for our honeymoon and everyone was super friendly and accommodating. They made sure to make us feel welcomed and to provide services and answer any questions we had. The food and drinks were great, the views of the ocean amazing and the resort itself was very safe and clean. They gave us lots of recommendations for local excursions and ensured that we were set with whatever we needed. My only complaint is that the party music at the pool was loud and played all day long, starting at like 8 am. I think it's fine for like late morning, but it got a bit old every single day starting so early, especially when you can hear it from your room. Anyway, overall we really enjoyed our experience and were very glad we chose Dream Sands!
