Awesome and Mexican traditional candy shop. If you love candy and want to try some Mexican style, this is the place! A huge and delicious variety of confectionery will blow your mind and your sugar levels too. A lovely place to find presents as well.

Neat, historic shop. They explain all the types of unique sweets. Find myself going there several times to try something new. Try the boiled figs with sugar glaze. Such a treat!

Atmospheric old sweets shop in the historic center. The dulce de leche caramels were delicious and fresh and paired perfectly with coffee elsewhere. Meringue did little to distinguish itself and the coconut ball was too syrupy sweet. Nice place to pop in and experience Mexican sweets.

Beautiful tiny store, with magnificent interior, gilded panels and ceiling, offering all kinds of sweets and candies, many of them absolutely unique based on centuries-old recipes. The place is rumored to be the oldest candy store in Mexico City. There is a story associated with the place about a young kid who got lost in downtown Mexico City and died in front of the store. Sometimes you may feel your sleeve is being tugged by the kid ghost who wants you to buy some candies for him...

Old-line sweet shop steeped in tradition. Many temping offerings, of which we only tried a few. They had two kinds of Cajeta in jars. Cajeta is a caramelized sweetened condensed goat’s milk. We got the Quemado - burned - hoping it would be even more caramelized.
