Upstairs is an absolutely stunning rooftop bar with the same good drink and solid food - which also has live music, if you time it right!
The perfect place to start a night out in Merida - or to spend a whole one!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really cool place to have a beer on a rainy afternoon, or anytime. This historic cantina is now known as a jazz and blues bar and rates highly for its music and general ambiance. I agree. While I was there music was Latin jazz fusion. It was like stepping back in time. Has a 1950's jazz club vibe. Small, with limited seating at the bar. Good beer selection. Great friendly service. I will return and try their food menu soon. As my friend says "muy suavecita."

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute place. They had live music, very good and friendly service. Drinks were amazing. There is also food - not a lot of choices but good and made it easier for us. Try vegetarian tacos! It was raining so we were sitting inside. But went upstairs to check out the rooftop, nice ambience - not a party type, more intimate and cozy.

Simply amazing. The music and the staff were amazing. Service was prompt and friendly. Definitely a spot I'll be back to visit and a must see for any tourist/expat living local to the area. I promise you won't regret going.
