About Eco Fun Adventures
The Pinacate Adventure brings visitors to the edge of the earth. A protected biosphere reserve since 1993, Pinacate includes over 30 square miles of volcanic fields and several large craters for you to experience. Be prepared to be “awed” by Nature’s majestic creations.
This is a 6-hour trip in our comfortable tour van. We start with a visit to Schuk Toak (sacred mountain) visitor center. There will be a short and interesting talk on the reserve, then a walk through the photographic displays.
You will hike a couple of short trails that describe the biological and geological aspects of the reserve, then watch a short and informative documentary. Afterwards we will make our way to the Pinacate reserve itself.
There we will visit the largest crater, Elegante a jaw dropping visual site of mother nature at her finest. A massive crater in which you can ‘tip-toe to the edge of the earth’ and witness the creator of the Sonoran desert.
We will then move on to the second-largest crater EL Colorado, where we will have a picnic lunch. A bit more hiking, then we will pile back into the van for the short trip back home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family had such a great time on the whale watching tour! The Eco Fun staff are seriously so much fun and accommodating. At one point my daughter got cold and they brought a fuzzy blanket over and wrapped her up ?! The free drinks and snacks were great and the captain did a great job of finding the whales! It was an awesome experience and we would definitely do this again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Family of 8 had a blast! Small kids, teenagers and adults all enjoyed themselves. Staff was amazing, made sure our drinks were always full, that we were comfortable and entertained. We saw Dolphins and pilot whales, great experience! Will def go again, worth every dollar!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some real stuck up people leaving reviews on here. So let me be real with you about this adventure. It is a party boat, but perfectly acceptable for children. You must understand Mexican culture in order to acknowledge this. It’s a great time, it’s great value. It’s all you can drink, they serve you food, and everyone working on the boat is extremely nice and professional. The experience promotes a strong family atmosphere. Like everyone belongs. $40-$55 gets you a two hour cruise and all of the above. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We must have been on the sunset cruise for the deaf. Music was obnoxiously loud so it was impossible to have a conversation. Definitely for young drinkers and not older sunset seekers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eco-Fun Boat completely exceeded my expectations. I was grateful there was someone outside waving me into the parking lot, for starters. Someone guided us each step of the way. The wait staff were very attentive, and also fun. They’re experts on finding whales in Puerto Penasco IMO, and we had several close encounters with these amazing creatures. I highly recommend Eco Fun Boat if you want a memorable experience. Unfortunately, I can’t share videos in this medium, but look for video on their Facebook page…. Pics don’t do justice. AMAZING!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved this ship cruise of Puerto Peñasco. The staff was amazing. They served us drinks throughout the whole ride and made sure we listened to great music. People on ship were dancing. What made it even more special was that we got to take pictures of the sunset.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly recommend Eco Fun Adventures! Me and my family did the Bird Island cruise and had a wonderful time! The staff is super friendly and played fun music on the ride out to the Island. We saw dolphins on the way out and they stopped the boat for us watch as the dolphins played. We did snorkeling and canoe riding while out at the Island. Ate lunch and had unlimited drinks (alcohol or regular) the whole time. A momma sea lion had just given birth to her pup. The Island has many birds and funny/cute sea lions. It was definitely a great experience! Thank you to all of the outgoing friendly staff for making this such a great time!
