★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Muy bonito Mahahual. El camping La Mar es atendido por sus propias dueñas, tiene todas las comodidades. Pueden alquilarte el espacio con o sin carpa. Volveré.
 Very beautiful Mahahual. The campsite La Mar is staffed by its own owners, has all the amenities. You can rent the space with or without tent. I will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excelentes anfitrionas, las casas de campaña super limpias, igual que las sabanas y los colchones inflables, solo que uno debe de ir prevenido a lo que electricidad se refiere y es un lugar exageradamente tranquilo, si quieres fiesta, definitivamente no es el lugar. Es un lugar 100% para relajarse.
Excellent hostesses, super clean tents, as well as the sheets and inflatable mattresses, only one must be prepared to what electricity is concerned and is an exaggeratedly quiet place, if you want to party, it is definitely not the place. It is a 100% place to relax.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La mar es un lugar hermoso, rodeado de naturaleza donde puedes ver hermosas puestas de sol, snorkelear o disfrutar de la playa y por la noche ver miles de estrellas. Íbamos por un par de días y nos quedamos 10. Las chicas son super amables y muy conscientes del entorno en el que viven; recolectan agua de lluvia, recogen basura de la playa y usan paneles solares. Es un lugar que vale mucho la pena para todos los que amamos la naturaleza y queremos preservarla.
The sea is a beautiful place, surrounded by nature where you can see beautiful sunsets, snorkel or enjoy the beach and at night see thousands of stars. We were going for a couple of days and we were 10. The girls are super friendly and very aware of the environment in which they live; They collect rainwater, collect trash from the beach and use solar panels. It is a place that is very worthwhile for all of us who love nature and want to preserve it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mahahual está muy sucio y contaminado, éste lugar es lo único que aún tiene el agua transparente, lamentablemente la gente puerca tira su basura donde sea.
Mahahual is very dirty and polluted, this place is the only thing that still has transparent water, unfortunately the dirty people throw their garbage wherever.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place, beautiful, peaceful. The place is located in the natural reserve, everywhere there are birds and other animals. There is a rocky beach opposite the campsite, about 200 meters from the shore there is a beautiful and lively coral reef. You can swim. I saw dolphins from the shore. To find a sandy bottom you should go closer to the Maya Luna hotel, that's where the coral reef seemed to me the most beautiful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We hanged our hamacs for only one night at La Mar and we wish it would have been for more! The place is lovely, located just outside Mahahual downtown (which was a good thing from our end), and right in front of the reef, so we could go snorkeling as much as we wanted! Saw shark, many rays, many beautiful fish and the reef itself was amazing to explore.
The place is very clean, Ethan was very nice and available to answer our questions.
We also fell in love with his two lovely dogs (great Danes) !
I totally recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This little eco campsite is a real heaven on earth! So peaceful and quiet, surrounded by beautiful nature with a coral reef right in front. The local beach, which is right across the street, is great for bird-watching or snorkeling. The whole place is super ecological, using solar energy and collecting rain water. There is a small common kitchen, storage area and bathrooms. The owners are super nice and always ready to help or give tips for what to do in the area. And you will witness some of the most amazing sunrises and sunsets you’ve ever seen in your life. Plus the night sky is just indescribable!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Complete utter trash bin & squat flat. Obviously abandoned & neglected. Walked up to knock on their door which was broken & ajar. Heard noise & thought someone was in the back room but it was a huge rat. Too bad the owner is MIA & unable to reach as it's a very nice property for someone with the right kind of tender loving care to put into this place. 5 star review could be left for update. Owner looking to rent a long term hodie? Would adore adding some TLC to this property. Please contact me. Thank you.
