The location it's pretty good, and it has a really nice view to the lake. Also the price it's really accesible.

Cabanas nice, good lake view. We arrived and paid to stay but had to leave 20 minutes later and they would only give us 150 pesos back from 600 even though we didn't use the room

Everything is good around the villa. The lake, the view, the weather on this months (may). But, I did my reservation with a travel agency located on tuxtla Gutierrez, and they didn't respect it. My guide had to find another one. They say that they are not very serious with this. Everything else is great.

We arrived off season so the weather is rainy and very misty. Cabins are probably fine in the summer when it's warm but right now they are very very cold. We are lucky to be in a cabin that usually sleeps 8 as it means we can use the extra blankets. Also the shower is hot.It's basically like being in a wooden tent. The restaurant does basic dishes and the complimentary breakfast was massive ( advertised as American style but only mexican dishes on menu) again the space is freezing cold. It's a pity more effort isn't made to make the communal spaces more welcoming and cosey especially during the colder months as the location really is beautiful. A basic heater or options to( make fire outside )in rooms /communal space would make a huge difference as there isn't anywhere to warm up. Also not that cheap by Mexican standards. Would only recommend if you don't mind being cold ..otherwise summer only.

Although everything looked peaceful when we arrived with nice views of the lake, they had construction work started early in the morning at 6:00am with loud banging on the roof of their as they ripped off metal sheets... That was very respectful of their guests, So we moved to another hotel for the rest of our vacation. It was definitely not a peaceful or quiet stay, and we didn't sleep much at all until we found a different hotel. Also, there were rodents (mice) running around the room, and they ate a big hole in our suitcase as we slept!

Beautiful location and the rooms were actually quite comfortable. The bed and pillows are even better then what we found in other more expensive hotels during our trip in Chiapas. We didn’t expect much since these really are nothing more than cabins. This is not a luxury hotel. But for the price and given the remote location, we were very happy.
