★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whatever you pay online, once you are there to pick up the car they will make all excuses to make you pay at 5x more. I said I will leave they decreased the price by 20%. I lost money because they do not refund the reservation money, but better than deal with these people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I will not rent with this company ever again. I added insurance thru Expedia and they only honor it if I put down a $9,000 USD down. What a rip off. I was forced to get their insurance which it cost me an additional $150 USD. I am dissatisfied with their service as well. DONT RENT WITH THEM THINKING YOU WILL SAVE MONEY.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not rent here. They are crooks. They overcharge for insurance even when we already paid for insurance. They require payment in dollar, if you don't have a dollar account they use a very high exchange rate. The cards are very bad quality and they have is the car with a completely empty tank but expected it returned full. They run an obvious scam and bait and switch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible experience, I was forced to get their insurance even though the insurance was paid thru expedia. They were asking for a $7, 000 dollars deposit and the money for the insurance. Then, the clerk made up his mind and offered a second choice for $280 and a $500 deposit. The car that was promised was not given and they gave us a stick shift. We witnessed how other people did also had problems with them and the security deposit was held. No manager was available and with a laughing face they said we could complain as much as possible. We had no choice , please be careful and avoid this horrible place that seems to only take advantage of people that are in the need to get transportation, overcharging and stilling our precious, hard-earned money and leaving a nasty memory of their mediocre service. Also, every single person on the line was asking for "tips", please do NOT give money, they get paid to do their jobs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avoid. Economy is actually the rental company "American". Its location is miles away from the airport, they have no desk at the aiport - you have to find a guy with a clipboard outside.
They charged me US$300 to increase the liabilty insurance coverage, more than the rental intself, so a rip off, but once you get to their out-of-the-way depot you have no choice.
Their desk is very slow, so expect to spend hours after arrival to get your car.
The car return process went smoothly though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ZERO STARS!! I made a reservation and when I arrived I had to wait in line for an hour just so they could tell me that they didn't have the car I reserved and they could only provide me with a stick shift. On top of that, they were wanting to charge me double the cost of the reservation for the insurance. $450 for 3 days for a compact stick shift? No thank you. I went over to Hertz/Avasa & got a way nicer AUTOMATIC car for $180.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you booked online through a site like Expedia or Priceline, DO NOT ADD INSURANCE (or cancel as soon as you can). We paid for the additional insurance, and when we picked up the car Economy said 3rd party insurance was not valid, and we needed to either pay an additional $250 insurance fee, OR get a $7,500 USD hold on my card in order to rent the car. Also, they acted like they "upgraded" the model, but it was a very old versa that had seen way better days. Brakes were awful had no windshield fluid, wipers were awful in the rain.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not clear communication. They wanted 7500 hold on my card to guarantee card even though I was offering to pay for insurance AND I had it through my American Express too. The insurance cost more than the car rental. They take about an hour to pick you up from the airport. Hidden fees everywhere. Lies at the counter. I don’t recommend. Spend extra and go to hertz.
