Texto en la placa de la escultura:
Figura en forma de árbol en cuya parte superior se encuentra el glifo o símbolo de Atizapán, nombre de origen náhuatl traducido como "Lugar sobre aguas blancas o de tiza".
En su rama izquierda se asienta un caracol, glifo adoptado por los aztecas para representar paciencia y sabiduría, asociado también con la simbología Montaña-Tierra, y con el número 12, que era relacionado con Venus, también servido como alimento en algunas fiestas de la localidad.
En la rama derecha se aprecia el maguey, planta que se cultivaba en esta región desde los tiempos prehispánicos, fuente del tradicional pulque, por lo que a los originarios de este municipio se les conoce como "mechaleros", nombre dado a quienes sustraen el aguamiel del corazón del maguey.
A partir de las ramas se pueden ver raíces que conducen al centro o tronco del árbol donde se encuentran un violín y una máscara de teatro para representar las diferentes expresiones de la cultura, que tienen gran relevancia en Atizapán, donde se celebra el importante Festival de la Artes Luminaria.
Debajo de la figura se encuentra una mazorca de maíz, producto agrícola de la región, base de la alimentación de los mexicanos desde la época prehispánica.
A continuación se ilustra el "Puente Centenario" ubicado en la cabecera municipal, construido para conmemorar los primero 100 años del aniversario de la lucha por la independencia de México e ícono que representa un vínculo entre nuestro pasado y presente.
Finalmente todo se asienta sobre una pelota de golf, que simboliza el deporte y la modernidad, destacando que este municipio ocupa el primer lugar nacional en campos de juego de esta actividad.

Text on the sculpture plate:
Tree-shaped figure whose upper part is the glyph or symbol of Atizapan, Nahuatl origin name translated as "Place on white water or chalk."
On its left branch sits a snail, glyph adopted by the Aztecs to represent patience and wisdom, also associated with the Mountain-Earth symbology, and with the number 12, which was related to Venus, also served as food at some parties of the location.
On the right branch you can see the maguey, a plant that has been cultivated in this region since pre-Hispanic times, a source of traditional pulque, so that the natives of this municipality are known as "mechaleros", a name given to those who subtract the mead from the heart of the maguey.
From the branches you can see roots that lead to the center or trunk of the tree where there is a violin and a theater mask to represent the different expressions of culture, which have great relevance in Atizapán, where the important Festival of Luminaire Arts.
Below the figure is an ear of corn, an agricultural product of the region, the basis of food for Mexicans since pre-Hispanic times.
Below is the "Centennial Bridge" located in the municipal seat, built to commemorate the first 100 years of the anniversary of the struggle for the independence of Mexico and an icon that represents a link between our past and present.
Finally, everything sits on a golf ball, which symbolizes sport and modernity, highlighting that this municipality occupies the first national place in the playing fields of this activity.
