★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is probably my favorite restaurant in San Miguel de Allende, a hidden gem for tourists. It’s a smaller restaurant with limited seating, quite busy and popular. The cream of poblano soup, chile en Nogada, and skirt steak were all excellent. Their tortilla must be the best I’ve ever tasted - flavorful and thin, but holds up to the meat and sauce.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant is great! Very close to the bus terminal and also a short walk from the center. Don’t be discourage by the surrounding, as it could be too Mexican for foreigners. I had the Sopa Azteca which was great. It smelt so good that I forgot to take a picture and just went straight to consume it all. It came with a fresh bread bun. The prices here are very affordable unlike the pretentious restaurants in the center that tend to overcharge you. Place is very clean and cutesy with live plants and Buddhism decors. The staff were very attentive too. If you want clean, good, Mexican food, check this place out. By the way, check their menu as they have a lot to choose from.

Limonada is worth a second glass!
I had ensalada Katherine. Excellent. The chicken a la plancha was delicious. You should try this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Normally to find menu prices this low, you have to go to a dicey restaurant. Not at El Arcangel! A warm and cozy place with great food and excellent service. We went for dinner and both our meals were large portions well prepared. I went back for breakfast and it was also great. 3 egg huevos ranchers with a large milk and juice was 125 pesos. You don't need to make a reservation and you will almost always have a table. You'd be crazy not to try this place.

This restaurant has better food than most expensive restaurants around the main square of San Miguel. You can get for about 5 to 8 dollars a large delicious dinner or breakfast! I highly recommend this place!
