The food here was so delicious , a real compliment to the Chef who also brews his own craft beers. We loved everything, we had the Tacos Arrachera, The sampler plate which includes: Wings, Sausage, Guacamole and queso fundido, we also tried the Filet Mignon. The wait may seem a little long but it is well worth it. The golden amber beer was tasty.

The place is really nice, food was also NICE! I ordered a Yucateca steak and my girlfriend ordered bbq ribs both so delicious. It's a must go! Lemon margaritas... amazing!!! I believe the prices are just fine and staff very friendly.

I went for dinner at El Barril Grill in Bacalar tonight with a friend. From the moment that we entered the restaurant until we left it was an A+ experience! The owner is a lovely man from France who went out of his way to welcome us. As it turns out, he is also the chef! We both had fillet mignon, grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes. It was absolutely amazing! The steak was melt in your mouth tender and delicious! Cooked perfectly! I had a Pina Colada and my friend had a lager made by the owner! Both were superb! I highly recommend this restaurant in Bacalar! I know that we will definitely return!

We found this hidden gem in Bacalar, and let me tell you that we were surprise how tasteful it was. My wife and I order the burger and BBQ ribs. The burger had a good meaty portion of a tender patty. The ribs were as also good. Highly recommended!!

This place was okay at best. Definitely not in line with the reviews people have left. The guacamole was “OK” but being a Canadian I can definitely say I can easily make better guac. Tortilla chips not homemade and definitely just taken from a bag and roasted a bit. The burger was just like any greasy burger that you can buy at a supermarket and bbq yourself. Processed cheese on the burger too. Not quality. Higher end of regular prices but not worth the value. Unless you’re looking for something just whatever and not special, don’t go here. There are plenty of other restaurants in the town that will serve authentic quality food for the same price. Also it was a somewhat chilly night for Mexico, 19 degrees, and there were strong fans blowing throughout the restaurant which was not comfortable and made the whole experience very unpleasant. Service was pretty slow considering I was alone on one of only three tables seated. Slightly disappointed with this restaurant and was expecting much better since the reviews were all saying great things. This is my extremely honest feedback of my experience here. I will not be going back.

If you’re hungry and love a good European beer, that’s the place to be! We had the double meat burger and the chicken breast. Portions were big enough but we had some space for the crème brûlée with its coffee custard. Good service and did not wait long compared to some places around.
