★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great lunch and drinks here at El Borracho Burro Cantina, while visiting Isla Mujeres. The live band was amazing and at the time was playing rock music from the 90’s and 00’s. Highly Recommended!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The MOST FUN place on the island to eat. Super atmosphere, great service, good food, and live music. It's relatively new, so word hasn't really got out yet and thus was not crowded. However, nothing would make me happier than to return to Isla and see this place popping.

El Borracho Burro Cantina is an outdoor restaurant near the south end of Isla Mujeres. Atmostphere is very cool and the food was amazing (special mention: Fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp). One of our favorites for sure. If you are touring Isla Mujeres and happen to make it to the south end, El Borracho Burro Cantina is definitely worth stopping in at whether it's for a meal or just a drink.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Laid back atmosphere with live music at night. Service is great. Food is really good, we didn’t have a bad plate. Everyone is very friendly including the head chef who introduced himself on our second visit. Would’ve dined there more but the rain closed them down for a couple days.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great spot! Friendly server, strong drinks and the entertainment on their stage will make your trip! Such an awesome place! That menu looked great, we wished we'd waited to have lunch. Check out the clean bathrooms! We'll be back next time we're on Isla Mujeres.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spent my 50th Birthday here and lemme tell ya, IT WAS FANTASTIC. The food, the atmosphere, the band, all of it.. The staff is incredibly welcoming, and the owner was so sweet. She even personalized a paddle for me and my birthday co-hort and let us keep it. We had so much fun that we went back for Estella's birthday 2 nights later! And the prices are fantastic. We spent so much less for so much more than you'd find in the touristy areas on the north end. If youy don't stop here, then you've truly missed out!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a really great time here. The music was solid. The bar is very nice. Just opened about a year ago so everything is new. The bathrooms are super clean and nice. The Michael Jackson impersonator is really good. Was quite a surprise as we went for the live music and when he performs between bands it's hilarious. The good was really good here as well. I will warn you if you order the jalapeño poppers that are handmade, they are amazing but are very spicy! I enjoy spicy food and this was at the top of my heat level.
