Son fruto de la cultura y del ingenio de nuestro pueblo. Ya antes las habrás visto en moradas humildes y en casas ricas, en mercados y en plazas con sus vestidos de trajín o con ropas de domingo.
Cuando intentes reconocerlas, querido comensal, no lo hagas con hormas que lastimen su dignidad de soberanas; no necesitas casi del acero que con profusión de formas adorna otras mesas. Te basta con algo más sencillo, terso y delicado, ¿no recuerdas que estamos hechos de maíz?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had the arrachera con chilaquiles and it was so good!! I also had some fresh Abuelita’s Hot Chocolate, that that make in front of you. And I had a fresh jugó de tuna (prickly pear). It was all very delicious.

Told them a person in the party was vegan and allergic to meat, ordered flor de Calabaza quesadillas without cheese and asked them to cook away from meat, however they didn't because the person had a reaction. Do not go there if you're vegetarian, vegan or have an allergy, they will not accommodate

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great place, specially for breakfast (as late as a midday breakfast!). The quality of the food is superb in a very relaxed atmosphere. The service is first class with very attentive and cordial waiters. It is an experience to enjoy a great Mexican dish in a crowded but enjoyable place. Depending on the time of the day you may have to wait, but even with a long wait, the wait is worth it to experience such nice food! Well recommended even considering the heavy traffic in Mexico City!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Many things keep me coming back to Mexico City. But at the top of the list are the people, the food, the atmosphere, the hospitality, and hidden gems like El Cardenal. I was recommended this restaurant by a close associate who lives in Mexico City. He recommended I get there early as the crowd starts to pick up rapidly. I arrived at 8:30 AM and had no issues getting a table. But within an hour the place was bustling with executives and Mexico City is upper class. Sitting outside was enjoyable. Probably ate the most delicious concha I’ve ever had, fresh out of the oven. The green juice and mango purée are delicious. The lattes were a little smaller than what I’m used to but we are every bit delicious. The staff made me feel extremely special and well cared for.
