★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed here for 2 nights and I have to say that I was disappointed.
I have to say the valet ppl are very nice and helpful ...however...
¹To start the room had advertised as ocean view when it should be "partial view" I had to walk into the balcony and look to the side of the building to get a view.
²The room was never cleaned even though we asked if they could.
³we got charged 25 dlls for internet! Every other place I've stayed in it's complementary now days.
I usually never complain but I had to leave an honest review...maybe it'll help management improve things we as guests consider important on a stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If staying here through an exchange company, they send you to a "special" check in area and use high pressure tactics to get you to attend their presentation. Even after directly saying we were not interested in attending a presentation, they lied and said no, no it is not for a presentation. As they directed us to free food and drinks we knew. After refusing their offers and continually saying we only want to check in they stalled about 20 minutes and finally gave up. During their stalling, I made numerous trips to the food. They may have figured they were loosing money on the amount of food I consumed ?. The room is okay but all the overhead lights were out and we were missing the coffee maker, but after a couple phone calls that was resolved. They also did not have the typical starter items in the kitchen (roll of paper towels, dish soap, etc.) but there was a bag of coffee (just no maker initially). Although the room accommodates up to 6 people, there is only settings for 4 but is okay for the 2 of us. The front desk and bellmen are all great. Would I stay here again, yes, but it does not deserve 5 Stars, if 1/2 stars could be given, I would have rated 3.5 rather than 4.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Multi hotel campus with newer Marina about 5 min away by shuttle. Must do all Inclusive. Miles of shoreline shopping, bars restaurants etc. Adult pool not heated but other pool has lots of kids but main 2 towers right in beach. Loved Mazatlan but liked El Cid Ventus in Rivera Maya (visited twice couple years ago- gotta check it out) little more but either way great value, great staff, food & facilities

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place. We came for the breakfast buffet. The food was amazing. The service was amazing. The view is amazing. Next time I'm in Mazatlan I would like to stay at the hotel. The pools look wonderful. I would also like to play golf here. The course looks nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very clean rooms. Wait Staff is always ready to help with anything. Tomas on the beach made sure we had everything we needed and drinks always full. Beach is steps away. I would buy into the all inclusive part but it is a nice place to stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a wonderfully relaxing vacation! The all inclusive option & also having access to all 4 properties + all pools was the best.
Consistent & gracious customer service from all! However The timeshare presentation push at the beginning was unexpected. Nonetheless it wasn’t a big deal & we were not hounded.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just came back from El Cid with my fiance! We enjoyed the adult private pool, but there is room for improvement with this hotel. We stayed on the ground level, room #0120, which had a nice view. However, there was a weird smell in our room, and we found two cockroaches near the bathroom. Secondly, the quality is not consistent when it comes to daily housekeeping. Maria did an excellent job when she came to clean our room, but the others were doing the bare minimum/they would come late and would not clean the toilets or the shower or the sink or dust despite us leaving a tip. When we got into our room the first day, there was still food in the sink from the previous guest(s). This hotel has a lot of potential for becoming a five-star hotel, but the lack of quality of service and detail paid by some staff will prevent that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very beautiful hotel and beach. The bedrooms were comfortable and the view we had was incredible. There are many places to visit inside the hotel; I loved the Marina and the Country club. Another thing to mention is that the staff is very attentive and honest. As I have mentioned it before, the beach is amazing. I really loved staying here.
