Room and personnel are great. Hate that it's mandatory all inclusive, yet that all inclusive doesn't include internet. I mean, really? And you pay per device, so couldn't download any books on my Kindle...grrrrr

We have been going to El acid for years and it is always awesome! The staff is friendly and attentive….the scenery is gorgeous and there is ALWAYS something to do! My kids have grown up vacationing at El CID and have developed friendships for years! Definitely recommend for families or just couples! There is something for everyone!!

This hotel group in Mazatlan was absolutely wonderful! Beautiful grounds, exceptional staff and food was top notch. Highly recommend the all inclusive package for your stay as all the restaurants were worth trying!

We are staying at the El Mora. Using El Cid shuttle service was perfect. At the Iguana lunch & bar, we couldn't ask for any better service from Daniel & Hector. Unfortunately, at the main pool, the service became a major disappointment. One particular server, name withheld, made us feel unwelcome. We flag down a server, name withheld, to get us 2 drinks. He promptly help us. His coworker delivered the drinks & said he would be the one helping us. We were sitting right next to the swim up bar. I called out to him, after 45 minutes, he kept his down, and walked right passed us. He continued his attitude numerous times, passing us up. I call another server for help & he help us out. Not getting respect has a reflection on the whole staff. What a shame!

Great location, great service. 3 things to improve. 1)Covid testing is free however they don't explain when you have an appointment it is a group setting which you get a number and they take you in groups. Better to tell people that is how it works and having dozens of people in the lobby doesn't feel great for Covid spread. 2) Wednesday was apparently Cruise day in which 300 people invaded the pool and beach from Cruise ships and again there was no communication to guests staying there of this. Please just tell people so they can prepare. 3) Enforce your rules. The hot tub is supposed to be adults only and yet we saw dozens of kids jumping in and out and think about splitting the heated pool to adults area by the swim up bar as there were kids splashing and throwing balls all over the pool. Not very relaxing if kids are screaming and splashing everywhere. Bottom line: Very nice facility, good food and service, just need better communication and enforce the rules.

My second time at El Cid Marina, the first time I've brought my partner and young son. The staff and hotel are great! It's always a great time, nice and quiet, amazing views. The last meal we had there wasn't as pleasant though, it was as if the server didn't believe us about our room number. He came back and asked us a few times and then came back again with a bracelet scanner to confirm our room number - while we were in the buffet line. We had been charging meals and drinks to our room all week (I've never had my bracelet scanned). Why was this time any different? It's like he didn't believe we could be staying in such a nice suite (granted we're not fancy dressing people and we were in one of the nicest suites). It soured the last night for us a bit.

We are Wyndham owners and decided to check this place out. They put us in a 1 bedroom unit on the ground floor, with the back of the kitchen at the Iguana pool as our view in the evening. So, we really couldn't sit out in the evening since there was a guy cleaning the kitchen until about 9PM every night. When the guy showed us the room, he didn't show us the fry pan in the cabinet over the fridge, so we ended up using the large sauce pan to cook in. Ha, cooking? The rear burner of the stove didn't work, and the front one was on high at any setting. So it was constantly putting the pan on and off during cooking time. I also got a little shock when I touched a piece of chicken into the pan with a fork. I started cooking in flip flops after that. He also didn't explain the TV channels and the guide channel only showed channels 40 up. I didn't realize we had US network TV channels until 3 days before we left. A channel lineup card would have been great. The adjustable fans only worked on High speed. There were small roaches or something like that in the drawers in the kitchen. One even climbed into my backpack to try and immigrate to Idaho. The furniture wasn't comfortable at all. I ended up using the cushion out of the rattan chair in the room on a patio chair I brought into the room. The 90 minute dog and pony show about their vacation program turned into 3 hours. We told them we wanted to go on the sunset dinner cruise the day before when they asked what we wanted to do at discounted prices. Unfortunately, they didn't hold seats for us and we ended up not going, probably because we didn't go heavily into debt while they wouldn’t listen to us say we weren’t interested. We were about as far away from the reception area as possible, and were never offered a ride one time even though I was limping. I guess that luxury was only for owners. Most of the people that worked in the reception area were nice and the maids were great. The only good part of the vacation at the hotel was meeting Hector at the Iguana pool. He was friendly and gave us great service. In the Marina restaurant, we had Viktor as our waiter three different times, including for our anniversary dinner. He always made us feel at home. These two guys are the only reason I gave three stars to the review.

Stayed here on the first and last night of a fishing trip further inland. I was very impressed! The staff was welcoming and attentive. Rafael at the door is amazing! The food was very, very good and I loved the setting! I enjoyed taking the water taxi to the private beach, spending time poolside, and just strolling the grounds in the morning, taking in the views of the marina, the ocean and the bird and marine life around here. The rooms? Very nice, very clean, and all with a great view. Would definitely recommend a stay here!
