★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were looking for a place around 10:30 pm on a Wednesday night just to have a drink and we found el Corona. They offered a special of 35 pesos house tequilas, so we ordered two. We didn't plan to order food, but everything coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled great, so we split the cemita poblano con pierna. The sandwich was huge, and came with a big side of roasted then pickled garlic, and jalapenos and carrots pickled in escabeche. Our server Issac was extremely attentive and helpful. We will definately return on our next visit to Puebla.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little bar. They have a good selection of food as well. Located in front of the Zócalo it is a convenient place to stop a and have a quick bite or a drink. The wait staff are very attentive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place for having a beer while you are contemplating the main square of Puebla City! It's cheap in comparison with the other options of that zone if you don't mind the food. Otherwise, find another place with better food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm told this restaurant has been around for a long time. The restaurant comes from Mexico City however the point of excitement for me was the Cemitas. Bread(bulky roll) with Oaxaca queso, avocado your choice of thinly sliced breaded fried meat and a traditional green called papalo. This sandwich is exclusively available in Puebla. But don't call it a sandwich the locals will be angry. It is served with pickled carrots and jalapeno peppers. It is delicious. A vegetarian option is also available.
