Adorable little B&B in the Heart of Oaxaca. I loved the attention to detail and all of the little design elements that make this place special. The staff were incredibly nice and attentive and the breakfasts were different each day but always fresh, delicious and traditional. I would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I, and our infant child stayed here for four nights in November and we were very pleased with the accommodations and hospitality. Juan Carlos, Claudia, Ruth, Mary and Carlos were wonderful hosts providing assistance, recommendations and healthy and flavorful cooking. This B&B is an easy 10 minute walk past many shops and restaurants to the popular areas. Close enough to be convenient and just far enough away to escape from the noise and crowds. There were 4 other couples staying at the hotel during our visit, but we had plenty of privacy when relaxing in the living room, courtyard, where meals are served, and up on the balcony. We were also able to utilize the kitchen to prepare our babies meals. We would plan on staying here again if we return to Oaxaca City. Clean, peaceful and artfully decorated.

Lovely B&B right in downtown old Oaxaca City. Location is perfect for sight seeing, and experiencing the night life. Street is relatively quiet considering the location. Room interiors are done up in traditional style decorations, with lots of local artisans. Facilities were a little older, but all working and functioning just fine. Open common area and big kitchen where breakfasts are served. Not a lot of options for a vegan, but food looked great. Super friendly and helpful reception staff who will go out of their way to help you and make sure you enjoy your time in Oaxaca. Beds are large and comfy with ceiling fans to keep cool. I would stay here again.

Beautiful, quiet home like guest house, it’s an oasis close to the center, delicious breakfast and the best chocolate con agua during my trip. They even have a house mezcal, I sat on the terrace and enjoyed it with the views. Everyone who works here is incredibly sweet, welcoming and enjoyed meeting other guests too.

The staff is friendly, they make you fresh breakfast on the spot. Had eggs with mix veggies and it was amazing. The room was spacious but not over the top. It's located about 7-10 min from the markets and the center.

We had the most wonderful stay at El Diablo y La Sandia - we could not recommend it highly enough! We stayed in the 'Estrella' room, and were so interested to learn that the hotel is based on the concept of a Mexican game, with all rooms being named after parts of the game! So much fun. Our room was absolutely huge, with a gorgeously hot shower, comfy beds and extremely clean throughout. The staff were wonderful and so friendly, and there was a real family feel throughout everything in the B&B. The breakfast every morning was served around a communal table, giving all guests a chance to socialise and chat, which we loved! The breakfast was also, of course, delicious! We were also very impressed with the B&B's environmental actions - It was the first place we have ever stayed where they provide a bucket for guests to collect the cold water whilst they're waiting for the shower to heat up, so they can re-use the water for cleaning the floors... Absolute genius, and actually a quantifiable environmental action :) We had an absolutely perfect stay and would come back here in a heartbeat when next in Oaxaca - highly recommend for a peaceful, homely stay! Thank you so much Maria & the team!!
