El Fuerte Beach Resort - 77976 Mahahual

A very nice place in Mahahual, it's pretty and has a European approach. The rooms are nice and not very expensive, the food is very good too. It's mexican with an Italian twist. The restaurant is very nice and helpful. We went out of his way to help with any question we had concerning the place

Very cute and clean boutique hotel right on the boardwalk. On beach and close to resturantes and bars scuba diving and fishing. Great little town.

Nice beach club in Mahahual. Great selection of food! Try homemade shrimp Fettuccine or Ceviche mixto. Beautiful beach and sunsets!

We loved the restaurant for a delicious lunch. Excellent staff! We visited with the owner, and we told him we will return right away to stay for a week. Right in front of the beach, too! We looked at one hotel room and it was nice. See you soon!

We stayed at this hotel for 9 nights and it was excellent! We got upgraded to an ocean front room after the first night which was a nice bonus. It had a kitchen so we cooked our breakfasts in the room and the hotel provided anything we needed...knife, coffee maker, etc. The rooms were very clean! The staff was SUPER friendly! Many, but not all of the staff speak English. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The hotel has its own private beach which has both sun and shade. The hotel's owners were on the property which always makes a difference on how well the hotel is run. The owners are Italian, so you know the food in the restaurant is going to be excellent. We ate several meals there, which included pasta, lobster, tacos and burgers. Overall, we had an excellent experience at El Fuerte.

I wouldn't say it's a 4 star hotel but it's comfortable, nicely decorated and right on the beach with it's own beach club. Lorenzo Perez was a great host. I would return.

We stayed at this place a couple of days in our last visit in Mahahual. The location is perfect, they have parking space; the staff provided a good service; it was very clean,which was very important for us. Our favorite thing about the hotel is the beach chairs and the food there. We had some refreshing cocktails ? and delicious food. Nachos with chicken were our favorite ?

We stopped here for lunch while on a cruise port day. Delicious food, good prices, and nice seats on the beach. Only downside was the constant barrage of vendors selling trinkets, but minor annoyance overall.
