Well run, comfortable,(though the pillows are far too hard) coffee maker but no filters or coffee provided (I see this often - what’s the point?), good solid wifi connections, restaurant. The website claims free parking but that means you can park on the street out front - if you can find a spot, highly unlikely and probably insecure. The staff will point you to pay parking several blocks away. If you are in Patzcuaro and want more than a cheap unheated hotel, this is the place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First visit to the Gran Hotel. Service was good, staff were also good. Little english spoken. I had spaghetti which was store bought. I parked in a parking lot as parking spaces around the plaza are difficult to find.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We chose this place because it had "parking lot" which is basically a 3 car parking lot. The spots were full all the time so we had find somewhere else to leave our car. The staff basically said that most cars come to the restaurant so no spots for guests!!! The room we got only had a single working lightbulb. The tv remote didn't work even after they changed it 3 times. Maintenance guy had to bring his own remote for us to use. The room has no A/C,fan or heater, so expect cold nights and hot days. The sheets in the bed were stiff AF. Overall a really bad experience. Avoid at all cost
