The 35’ Cabo Yachts Convertible, El Matador, is the newest and best equipped boat in the Puerto Vallarta sportfishing fleet.

El Matador is owned and operated by Manny Ocaranza. Many Puerto Vallarta fishermen know Manny as one of the top captains in the area with a proven track record of delivering big fish. Over the past 10 years he has put hundreds of anglers on their fish of a lifetime aboard Yolaray and Pacifico. Manny and his crew are fluent in english and will make you feel right at home immediately.El Matador represents the culmination of all of Manny’s experience and hard work. Known for being a dedicated and aggressive fisherman, Manny will put you on the fish. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Captain and Crew (Alain and Juan) were a delight to fish with today. They worked extremely hard to help my wife and I catch fish. They also kept us well fed with delicious fish tacos and hydrated with ice cold water.
We were even more fortunate to have landed a yellow-fin tuna, the largest fish we have ever caught.
Thanks for providing such a great experience today.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went out at 5am dark into lighting storm with the jungle mountains and the sunrise. We fished for 12 hours. Great price/ value. Went out to 2000 feet deep. Manny and the crew were amazing and fun to hang out with. Lunch they made was great, and we had tuna that they caught a day or two before in a tournament where they placed 2nd for 447 lb. we caught some skipjack tuna for bait, and caught a beautiful 80lb sailfish, and a mako shark (released both). Probably the best fishing charter I have been on. The tackle and gear were top line.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The captain and crew were outstanding. They kept a watchful eye on my elderly father and I couldn't speak highly enough of their professionalism. We landed more fish than we deserved. Mitchell's ceviche he made with part of our catch, was world class. I wish I would have eaten more but we hooked into two striped marlin to top off and already fantastic day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great fishing trip with El Matador Sportfishing. Manny was able to get me out on his 29 foot panga with short notice. Fishing was great. I told them I would like to catch Rooster Fish and Pompano, as I have never caught either species. And they came through with 1 Rooster and several Pompano. By the way the 29 foot Panga is brand new and has a flushing toilet. Overall a great trip. Thanks guys.
