★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We make a point of going to Mirador Muna a few times a year and we love taking visitors. The artwork there was marvelous as always. Pedro the owner was not there when we went so we didn't stay long - just long enough for me to buy a new necklace! Love this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 50 pesos per adult for the full experience. This is a cool little tourist stop, totally worth 50 pesos. A friendly dog led us through the property to our destination, waited for us to get done, then led us back to the parking lot. we had some great views and overlooks for photo ops. Bathrooms are a 4/5 but hey who cares it's the top of a mountain. Definitely worth a stop, cool little spot to explore, nice man who sells sodas and stuff too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stop and shop. The money benefits local artisans as opposed to the touristic shops in the city. Cold beverages and a bathroom also await you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stop here on a tour to Uxmal. Local people making some fruit liquors and crafts. There was a demonstration of musical instruments used by Maya people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A must stop when visiting Uxmal. It has a wonderful view and even a small cave very well worth visiting. There is also a small shop which has beautiful handicrafts with fair prices and refreshing drinks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Magical!
A very peaceful, special find! The proprietor, Pedro, is a humble artist with much knowledge and respect for Maya tradition. I am definately coming back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Happy to have experienced this peaceful land project. Here you may meet Pedro who has spent more than 2 decades scaping El Mirador including treasures he finds from his own journey around his native land & objects that he creates as an artist. El Mirador DM also offers a very clean & affordsble guest suite that includes a balcony, ac, refrigerator, hot plate, kettle & access to the establishment's kitchen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is worth stoping on your way to/from ruins, besides it is part of mayan culture. Well, El Mirador doesn't have any screaming, bright sign; it is something small insignificant, that probably on driving by you won't stop. We did stop only out of curiosity to take pics, a 5-minutes stop. But we has spent there like almost 2 hours. So, it is kind of natural hill, so you can see beautiful view down. But that is not all. We have been hooked by "gruta de aluxes". The entrance costs $30. They give you a lantern, and you go down. So if mystique, powerful energy places, nature are attracting you, you must visit it. It is awesome, although the place still in progress of establishnig (getting more features like eco-restaurant). It has prepared areas for camping, medicinal ceremonies, "bici ruta", it has showers, toilets, souvenirs shop, workshop, and refreshing drinks and of course, grotto. In the grotto is complete darkness, the light pass through in one small spot; it is not big at first glance(with shrine and offerings to aluxes), but you can go further in another chamber where you need drag yourself, and clearly it is for your own risk, because there is no guide. And the main creator owner Don Pedro is very intersting person to talk to.
