★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friend said the coconut shrimp was the best she had ever had. I had a wonderful garlic shrimp dish. They also had some really good drinks. The music was a little too loud for me, but I'm more sensitive to noise than most people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great beach seating with food service. Their mineral water lemonade were out of this world. I found their cevicje to be slightly peppery, but that's not a concern. They let me swim while I ate which was a lovely addition. They don't accept card, but I hope they'll transition soon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Location on the beach! Music much too loud but the staff were entertaining. Brush up on your Spanish as very little English is spoken. Food was good. Drinks a little pricey.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El Muchacho Alegre is AMAZING. An open air seafood restaurant located directly on the beach and the famous Malecón in Mazatlán. Every aspect of our visit was amazing: food, seafood, DRINKS! The view is UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING. There was also a live band that added to the atmosphere. They also have a gift shop with branded merchandise. Valet parking. Also, it seemed as if they were building an expansion to the restaurant. 100% recommended on your visit to Mazatlán!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Must go to restaurant if you ever visit mazatlan. Sea food is so goood and affordable. There is loud live band playing all the time. We got a table by the beach. I would definitely go back.

Unfortune not many of staff speak english and very difficult to comunicate.
Overall the food was ok authentic mexican cuisine.

They had a great michelada selection and we loved the mixed shrimp ceviche. The fried lobster tail taco is also awesome.
