Great place with tasty food and decent prices! Had the Natalia Salad and their specialty "Pork in Manchamantel Sauce".. both were delicious! However, I didn't like the fact that the waiter couldn't tell us what the desserts were and wanted us to go check at the front (even though he spoke English). He didn't seem well informed. Apart from that, it was a great little place.

Delicious chiles en nogada and shrimp fajitas! Also loved the pineapple pie with ice cream ? Excellent atmosphere up on the terrace. Great service and nice, friendly people!

I have been here twice. Both times I got the Chillies de Nogada. They are a house speciality and absolutely divine. I also enjoyed the margarita. The service is top notch and the ambiance on the terrace was perfect. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Lovely green rooftop terrace, right in the centro, decent food at good prices and nice service. Don’t expect gourmet food, but everything I ate was fresh and tasty. Why not 5 stars? While my octopus dish was original and flavorful , my sauteed chicken breast was blah... but decent for the price. Fresh squeezed OJ hit the spot!

This is our "go to" restaurant in San Miguel de Allende. The menu is diverse, we love the friendly staff and their excellent service, and the quality/flavor/value is always on point. They have a very pleasant rooftop as well as interior. Very few restaurants where you can get Mexican, American, Asian and Italian food and what they offer is done very well. Oh! Almost forgot...they have an in house baker so their desserts are delicious!

Great spot, three levels of dining. They open at 10a, I got there at 10:30a on a Thursday, and I had the rooftop to myself with two staff. Great Chilaquiles!

I hesitate writing this before I leave SMA, because I don't want this secret to get out. El Pegaso was amazing! One of the best meals I've had in the heart of the Centro, and the prices were fair to boot. The server was friendly, bantered a little with us, and provided good recommendations. Everything was exceptional! The drinks (which we asked the bartender to surprise us with) were en pointe, the food portions were good... I split the Chile Jalapenos with my friend as a starter. They were perfectly breaded and stuffed, and the seeds had been scraped, so we weren't on fire heading into soups. I enjoyed the extremely flavorful Aztec soup, which seems to be a staple on most menus here, and this is the best I've had this trip. For my main course, I had the Puntas de res a la Mexicana. I have had a play on this elsewhere, and it is one of my favorite dishes, so the bar was set high, but the beef tips were perfectly cooked, the seasoning was robust, the tomatoes were still a little crisp. I would come back for this dish. However, the star of the show was dessert - the Lemon Meringue tart. Although you could tell these are made earlier in the day and just brought from the display case you pass as you enter, as the meringue is separating from the tart, the way, the meringue melts in your mouth and begins transporting you to heaven, as the tartness from the lemon curd brings you back down to earth. The flavor is truly magical.

Great roof terrace shaded and cool with good views around town. The appetizers were amazing the Gorgonzola with pecan nuts was to die for. The main course was well severed and more than enough food for everyone.
