La pesca fue la actividad preponderante, y el modo de vida de cientos de personas en este puerto, ahora que el producto de los ríos ha disminuido considerablemente, los pobladores se han visto en la necesidad de diversificar sus actividades para poder subsistir.
Este trabajo se encuentra hermosamente plasmado en la estatua, donde se puede apreciar a un pescador utilizando sus redes para llevar a su casa algo de comer o unos pesos.
Statue of the Fisherman. It is a colored bronze statue, which shows the main economic activity that was carried out until a few years ago, by the majority of the inhabitants of Alvarado, Ver.
Fishing was the preponderant activity, and the way of life of hundreds of people in this port, now that the product of the rivers has diminished considerably, the inhabitants have seen the need to diversify their activities in order to survive.
This work is beautifully captured in the statue, where you can see a fisherman using his nets to take home some food or a few pesos.
