Encontramos un lugar de techos altos y amplios espacios, bien ventilado. Sólo pedimos algunas variedades de té, y café. Las bebidas que pedimos, de excelente sabor y temperatura. El servicio, a tiempo. Conversábamos cuando se nos acercó un caballero, el chef, supongo y tal vez al mismo tiempo propietario. Nos enfrascamos con él en una charla sobre cine, ¡tan agradable! A pesar de estar atento a nuestra conversación y servicio, no dejó de estar pendiente de los escasos comensales que a esa hora iban llegando a ocupar otras mesas. Nos comentó que seguramente por la noche el sitio se llenaría. Y no lo dudo, porque los platos que vimos salir de la cocina a las mesas lucían francamente apetitosos. Sé que lo habitual es ponderar la calidad de los alimentos, el precio, o el servicio en la mesa. Yo lo que quiero es agradecer la inteligencia y cortesía de una persona culta y simpática que tuvo a bien animar la tarde de mi acompañante y la mía, sin importar que fuimos clientes que consumimos poco. My companion and I arrived in the middle of the afternoon, without appetite, wanting to rest a bit from a long walk and to refresh ourselves. We found a place with high ceilings and wide spaces, well ventilated. We only ordered a few varieties of tea, and coffee. The drinks we ordered, of excellent taste and temperature. The service, on time. We were chatting when we were approached by a gentleman, the chef, I suppose, and perhaps the owner at the same time. We got into a movie talk with him, so nice! Despite being attentive to our conversation and service, he did not cease to be aware of the few diners who at that time were arriving to occupy other tables. He told us that the place would surely fill up at night. And I do not doubt it, because the dishes that we saw coming from the kitchen to the tables looked really appetizing. I know that the usual thing is to weigh the quality of the food, the price, or the service at the table. What I want is to thank the intelligence and courtesy of a cultured and friendly person who was kind enough to enliven the afternoon of my companion and mine, regardless of the fact that we were clients who consumed little.
