★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and my girlfriend spent three nights at El Portillo Cabanas and we had a great time! Saul and Maria are really sweet people who take great care of you. They know the true meaning of hospitality!
Saul took us on a wonderful hike through the old growth forest of the Sierra Madre, he really loves the place and that shows, he knows just about everything about it. Maria was making great Mexican food us, and made sure we were always well fed and taken care off. The beautiful, mountainside garden with all the plants and birds and their dogs and cat really made this our literal highlight of Mexico.
Great authentic experience - Saul and Maria made the true magic for us in this 'Pueblo Magico' - we definitely recommend this place!
