★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El Porvenir is another of those downtown Oaxaca shops that was on my route to somewhere when I was on Oaxaca. Like a few other places, El Porvenir presents some Spanish vocabulary problems. Anilinas. Hilazas. What social acts could these terms point to? It seems that a spool of hilaza would be thread. Anilinas refers it seems to dyes, but looking it up, I see my dictionary uses unknown English words. The other words I did in my review of that place across from OXXO and next to El Hotel Girasoles in Tepic.
