El Pueblito Mayakoba - 77730 Chacalal

On Sundays, you can go to the little outdoor market that they setup. Drink fresh juices, eat authentic Mexican & Argentinian foods, listen to live music, buy some local made goods (pretty high end, actually). It’s open to the public on Sundays for a few hours, (maybe 11a-3p ish?)so it’s a great thing to do. Taxis from Playa charge about 200-300 pesos each way, much cheaper if you have your own car. Afterwards, take their golf cart shuttle to see the beautiful grounds, then back to Playa. Just a fun day trip. *don’t go to Ciudad Mayakoba, make sure you go to the ocean side from the highway, where all the hotels are (Banyan Tree, Rosewood, etc.)

Closed during PGA tournament as headquarters for marshals during Covid precautions. Otherwise a fabulous little center with it's own small church.

Our company held a dinner here. It's like a town square with shops and an open bar. Each person was given 100 beans to use as money with the venders- it was great. They had traditional Mexican food meet up as a buffet- everything very well made. The Chapel is historical and has 116 Cherubs (Angels), worth checking out.

Beautiful space with an open roof-courtyard feel with a small Zen chapel. Fresh flowers. 2-3 shops with beach wear, cover ups and jewlery-14k gold, silver. Cafe with delicious espresso. Sandwiches and desserts. Water fountain and gazebo. Went for a special event before a wedding and it was transformed into a colorful open space rich with Mexican culture. Different days hold markets, cooking classes. Take a bike from Andaz and ride to explore and discover it's charm.

We love El Pueblito! In this small little town located in Mayakoba Resorts, they have a perfect family-like environment. From a candy shop, church, arcades, to a bar. We played arcades while we waited for The Burger House to open at 12pm. The staff, Omar, at the Burger House was the most friendliest guy. He was explaining the parts of town, the different things to do in El Pueblito, and even accommodated our diet restrictions. We ordered the Vegan Burger and split it. He was nice enough to split it in two wonderful looking plates. Omar also gave us Chicharones to try, which are crispy chips dipped in buffalo buffalo sauce. We loved Omar, the experience, and his hospitality. Please feel free to ask Omar any questions. He is a great person to speak to and make us feel at home

I thought this place was boring and lifeless. It’s meant to copy an authentic Mexican town but it is nothing like that. If you can do other things instead, then don’t do this. Otherwise, it’s nice for a quick 5 minute look and maybe a quick meal.

Wasn’t worth the trip. Most of it is closed by 5pm. There’s only a few stores anyway. The church is uninteresting. The gift store is over priced. The only store that was alive was the one selling private residences on the resort.

Mayakoba hotels and grounds are amazing but this place is such a disappointment. Rude staff in shops and cafe (especially when all other staff we encountered in mayakoba were great), lots of the shops and cafe closed (we were there Sunday around 3), and REALLY expensive shops (beyond hotel shop expensive). Best thing about it was the golf buggy ride there and back to our hotel!
