★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've just got home to San Vicente (near Puerto Vallarta) after a weekend in Sayulita. I decided to splash some cash on a surfing lesson. Someone recommended El Punto because Pipe was the instructor and had a great reputation. Well, after an hour and a half of advice and tips, Pipe helped me ride 7 waves, two all the way to the beach. We did the class in Spanish but he also speaks English. Very professional and patient. I can highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nicest guys ever! I have a hard time believing that they were yelling at anyone. Good instruction. Great value with an additional 5 hours of board use after the initial 2 hour lesson. We were able to come back and put in an hour a day at no additional cost! Highly recommend these guys!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My girlfriend is a decent surfer, but her teaching style wasn’t the easiest to catch on to - so we stopped by el punto and got hooked up with Hugo (aka banana). Trust me when I say that even if for some crazy reason you don’t catch a wave (he will get you up) you will find the day rewarding and have a deeper appreciation for the ocean and the sport.
Hugo is one of the funniest and kindest humans I have ever met. And I highly recommend him if you need surf lessons!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time surfing as a family. Our daughter had a great experience with her instructor, he was calm and very encouraging. My husband and I had loads of fun with Platano. We had great instruction, reminders to just breathe and wait for the wave and lots of laughter and celebration when we caught a wave or when we fell. We felt very well taken care of.
