El Sueño de Mita - 63734 Punta de Mita

This is a cute little artsie restaurant that is off the beaten path that has been open for 3 years before we stumbled upon it. Ivan took awesome care of us. We had yummy spicy margaritas, but the real treat were the delicious dishes we ordered, camerone & queso enchiladas, along with the tastiest pork pabil tacos, not to be missed. We will definitely be back. Open for lunch & dinner.

Delicious traditional Mexican food and amazing atmosphere. Highly recommend going to this restaurant! We had the tortilla soup and enchilada with the spicy margarita - it was perfecto!

This place needs to be noticed worldwide! The food is out of this world, the ambiance and presentation is just the same. The chef, Renee, served us herself and couldn’t have made us feel more at home. You can tell that she has put her whole heart into this special place and every detail shows. It is a real treat and a must while in Punta de Mita. I feel so fortunate to have experienced El Sueno.

I stumbled upon El Sueno by accident as it is located on a side street that is primarily frequented by local residents…. This needs to change! As the name indicates this place is “the dream” and chef owner/operator Renee del Moral is as gifted with her recipes, preparation and presentation as she was in designing the look and feel of the restaurant itself which is bright colorful, cozy while still open/airy and inviting. Renee’s personality is infectious and she made me feel totally at home. Renee served “the best torta puerco pebil I’ve ever had”. It was my last night in Punta Mita and in retrospect, I wish I had more time there to explore the menu a bit deeper. I’m confident from the fresh homemade tortillas, salsas and amazing attention to detail, that everything she makes comes to the table with LOVE and “Dreamz”! Gracias Renee - Mucho gusto! Hands down the best restaurant in the area with absolutely delicious food, drinks, and outstanding ambience and service. We loved it so much that we went two days in a row. Having gone to all the restaurants in Punta Mita, Renee's place definitely has the best flavors and at an extremely reasonable price. Ask for the "tour" if you'd like for them to choose their best dishes.

Absolutely a fabulous find! The owner, Renee, gives it her best. Pours her heart into her restaurant. The food is delicious. They were 4 of us. She served a tasting menu for us. The tortilla soup was the best I’ve ever had. Tamarind margarita quite tasty. This is a place to relax and enjoy the courses as they come. Don’t be in a hurry. Renee and her team throughly enjoyed what they do and it’s shows. It’s a 2 hour dinner. You won’t be disappointed.

This restaurant is amazing!! We tried a ton of restaurants in Punta de Mita, from tacos to expensive fine dining and this one was by far my favourite. It had really authentic, delicious Mexican food, and such cool vibes. The owner was there and took the time to talk to us, and make us feel very welcome. Such a funky little restaurant with outstanding food at a reasonable price. Highly recommend if you’re in Punta De Mita!

Amazing food, super friendly service, and great vibes! The owners have put tonnes of effort into making this one of the coolest spots in Punta de Mita. Their taco Tuesday rivals any other tacos in town and their regular food is superb as well.
