★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a rugged trail system, and gains elevation for a spectacular view of Lake Chapala. There are waterfalls along the trail when the area has enough rainfall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a nice and short hike up to the waterfall where you get a great view of the lake and Ajijic. Unfortunately, there had not been much rain, so the waterfall was dry. That being said, it was still worth the mini adventure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing views, this is not an easy hike be aware it gets very technical, it takes about 1:50 hours to reach the top (El mirador), and about 1:30 hours to go down. Bring hydration and snacks since there're no stores on the trail, I approximately burned 1500 calories. Enjoy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy hiking trail with a rewarding view of the falls at the end, during rainy season anyway. Great for brisk walks, runs or even biking. Nothing too exciting to see though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a great LOOP hike with wonderful views. There is a waterfall only 20 minutes in. If you hike past the waterfall and stay to the right, you get a great view (about 20 minutes after the waterfall). The trail continues up, but I took a left from the first viewpoint, which takes you down to the chapel on the hillside and then back to town.
